Looking for a better Guild

E/Mo

they need to fix this and allow us to add runes to our armor that will increase our 2nd proffession. I was upset that i bought a mino for healing and couldnt use it and need it

i dont understand why they will not allow this?

To prevent people from being powerful in both their professions... this way monks can become powerful monks for example.

I didn't like the idea at first, but it does make sense when you think about it.

Seeing that runse do not stack, I myself fail to see how this will make any job too powerful. Most times people want a superior vigor to balance out their superior (whatever) rune or major rune. Adding a few extra things will only give you a little more of and edge in PvE maybe. Even if it did effect PvP minor runes are so abundant that everyone would be able to have them. I think it would be different if runes could stack, if major/superior didn't have life reductions.

Picture a warrior/mo for instance (just for example not exact) and this was your build

Skills:
Axe Master
Sword - 10
Hammer
Strength - 10
Tactics - 8

Smiting
Healing - 8
Protection

Now lets say we add in runes
Head (Superior Vigor)
Body (Minor Absorb)
Hands (Minor Healing)
Legs (Major/Superior Sword)
Feet (Minor Strength/Tactics)

Skills:
Axe Master
Sword - 13
Hammer
Strength - 11
Tactics - 8

Smiting
Healing - 9
Protection

*Then you could add a +1 to a skill from bonus from a helm if you have one.
Getting to add 1 rune to healing or a bonus would not be too dramatic for any class. Because like I said no one would want to add in multiple major/superior runes b/c of life reduction. You are left with minor to choose from and that +1 bonus will not make that an impact that is that dramatic that a job is overpowering and destroys all PvP or PvE.

it basically ads a slight amount of dimension,

Implimenting your suggestion would mean there would be no diffrence (aside from fastcasting/energy storage) between a Mesmer/Elementalist, and an Elementalist/Mesmer --

I think its fine the way it is, Primary profession only has a couple things going for it over your secondary....

oh and what if your secondarty was warrior...

now any /w's could get absorbtion runes!

but they should say on the rune only usuable by primary blah blah

Absorption runes do not reduce damage as much as it did in games like D2. I think with damage absorption or reduction is very slight, not even enough to say that if another class used it they would be unstoppable or would give them a better advantage.

Second I do not see why anyone would choose a Superior/Major Storage Rune and have the health loss for that. Most people would prefer damage over having 9 points of energy. I'm not necessarily complaining saying I wish Aent would allow us to use runes from our secondary class. I do think that it would be a nice feature and wouldn't create an imbalance. But like I said I dont lose sleep over it or any other problem this game has like some people do. It's just a game and some people forget that.

I think I'd like it if I was able to just have minor runes for my secondary. Majors and superiors should be reserved for primaries.

Toast has the right idea. Let the minor ones be usable for secondaries.
