Jazzman: You bring up some good reasons there, but I couldn't understand your first reason. If a bot is good enough to do all those functions as you said, I am sure it won't be too hard for them to add several more line of codes in order to re-login again to switch character? It's not like the password are required at random intervals.

It's kind of like the Remote Control, the drive thru, and MC. D's... The World could live without them and probley would be much better off without them as well. (health wise, at least) But we learned to become a breed of animals that want to have everything and anything faster than you can say "Beam me up Scotty!" Well, it's a double-edge sword, the good comes with the bad. If Anet says it a security risk then I assume that the inventors know the product best. However, M$oft is an exception to this rule...;-)

I would personally have a hard time giving a bot that much information. This could be viewed as a security risk in ANet's eyes.
Does that make a little more sense.
