Can't capture Incendiary Arrows ;(

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has been able to capture incendiary arrows off Casses Flameweb at all lately. I tried twice today to capture it and it kept giving me the message that I already have this skill, but after looking at my skills, I do NOT have it. Anyone know what the deal is with this? It's aggrivating me

You might be try to do it too fast. I just captured it last night. I tried it once said I had it already. Waited for the icon to disappear from his name and hit it again and it caught it.

Maybe it's because it already started to use some other skill when you activated SoC?

It could be using a ranger stance you already have immediately after initiating incendiary arrows, so the capture signet tries to grab the stance instead and won't allow it. Stances won't pop up under their HP bar as most skills do, have instant cast, can be used at any time as long as you meet the energy/adrenalin requirements, and have no after cast.
Of course, that's just a single possibility.

I got the same thing when trying to capture Melandru's Arrows, he used about 3 times and it always said I already had this skill. I don't think its just a stance he's using either, perhaps a bug?

I suppose I'd ask if you'd already had a different elite skill on your bar at the time, as I get an error message every single time I try using an SoC if I already have a different elite loaded. If that is the case, you likely just need to hit the SoC a second time and it should work for you, least it does for me

Try using the Search button in the future, but Buy a signet of capture from Quarrel Falls and use it on a boss monster(the glowy ones) after they just used a skill you wish to capture.
But back on topic, ive had stances screw up a TON of my warrior elites... nothing gets on my nerves more. Id guess that that is all that it is.. even tho i didnt think rangers had that many stances..

Rangers have lots of stances like Lightning Relfexes and Whirling Defence.

The Capture Signet captures the last skill used by the boss. So if you hit it as soon as he cast the skill, it wont work and will try to capture the last skill he used before this one(since if he is casting it, its not the last he used yet). I usualy hit the Capture Signet when the icon of the skill i want start to fade out. I never failed capturing anything.

Try doing the capture while the icon is still on the screen, just after it's reached full brightness but before it fades.

Almost all the preperations refresh after 24 seconds, so you'll have to wait till he uses it again, but once he does, click that capture signet like crazy.
What dragon just said is the best time to do it, keep clicking capture till it comes up.

Thanks for the replies guys. I just don't get it really. After I posted this, I just decided to try for Spike Trap and I got it the first try. I've gotten Poison Arrow, Oath Shot and Barrage as well, and this is the only skill that's being a pain. Oh, well, I'll try it again later, but I was spamming the SoC the whole fight and it never worked. /sigh Pain in the butt to get there with just henchies too

Good job bumping up an old thread, but Flameweb is in the Ring of Fire mission. Do the mission until you reach the cutscene where the mage tells you to go around the back way. Go the back way, not the front (follow the path north) and you will see a bunch of lava spitters. Fight through them. Flameweb is one of those lava spitters.

I thought you capture skills after the boss is death. At least it seams to work for me. You get a list of +4 skills on each boss. Some elite others are not.
