Just a question. I haven't played the game yet because i just pre-ordered my copy today.

Is the community filled with pricks or are people generally nice

very nice people but there are a few people who can be pricks, but its like a 1/100 ratio, but thats true of any online game

Go through the site.

Here's good link to a post about getting those first 10 levels. Check out the feedback too.

I am rather new around here too and love the content. Just about anything you want to learn about the game I'd say you can learn at this site. Some very seasoned players, I think even some alpha players.

Here is a really good thread discussing the Guilds Wars Community, both the good and the bad.

Also as a friendly suggestion, I would recommend using trying out the search feature, its really very useful.

Not only here at guru, but in-game you'll find you won't be griefed or flamed as often as you fear...it's really an above-average fan base so far if you ask me. I'll emphasize 'so far' as I'm sure it will go downhill for a bit with release.

I'm sure you'll like the community in general. At this site the administrators keep a tight rein, so we don't get much flaming or spam for the most part, and are understandable when occasionally you go on a tare. In game most everyone is helpful. I have found that if you ever need help with anything, you'll find it either here or in game. No one knows everything and for the most part here and in game people understand that and are willing to help

Best of luck, and have fun

Aye. The more devoted players who are willing to spend an extra few dollars to play the betas are all we can go by right now. Sure there are some idiots playing, but you get that in every game. Overall I find the community much more welcoming and enjoyable than other online games I have played. Just be nice yourself and keep a clear head about things and you will have a good time.

Yeah I hear ya. Thanks for feedback.

I hope it isn't like in WoW where in my experiance some people could be real pricks.

The community is...

60% people that you won't ever see speaking during a mission. quiet but not assholes
30% people like on this forum: Nice, Helpful, etc.
10% bane of my existance (annoying 1337 sp33king, n00b calling, SOBs.)

Dance or play instruments during the downtime. Great way to break the silence. Or atleast amuse yourself
