1) Pouch can only be carried on the belt and there is only 1 slot on the belt. The other 2 slots are reserved for bags. I assume you're still in pre-searing Ascalon?! There are no bags available. You gotta wait a bit until you've completed the Academy.

2) No. You can only wear the armor type for your primary profession.

You can only wear one pouch per character. The other slots take bags, which are different and can be bought from vendors for 100g

Your character uses the armor of your primary profession. For example:

<> warrior/nec - you can wear warrior armor (leathers, chain, plate)
<> Nec/warrior - you can only wear necromancer armor (bonelace, tormentor, necrotic, scar, etc)

Runes are used to increase your attributes. You can get runes by buying them from other players or salvaging them from special loot drops. Special loot drops as you probably know are colored blue, purple, and gold. You will need to identify them first with an ID kit.

Since you are a primary Necro you can use runes that give you a boost. The drawback is that you take a minus to health when the armor holding the rune is equipt.

Minor Runes - +1 to attribute -25(?) health
Major Runes - +2 to attribute -50 health
Superior Runes - +3 to attribute -75 health

You can also equip general runes. In your case you can use Vigor runes. They increase your health. I'm not clear on how much. There is a rune guide on the main page of this site that will help.

Minor Vigor - 20 or 30
Major Vigor - 41
Superior Vigor - 51

Something to keep in mind. Once you apply a rune to a piece of armor you cannot get it back unless you use an expert salvage kit (400gp you can find them starting in Yak's Bend)

You only have about a 75% chance of getting the rune back so be prepared to loose it.

I hope that clears it up a little for you.

Minor Runes have no negative health, just to clarify.

Also once you get to Yaks bend you will be able to buy a rune of holding that gives you 5 more slots in your bag.

major and superior runes take away from your characters max health?

That is correct, so if you apply a major or superior rune you should also be looking for a rune of vigor to get the health back, or just chalk it up and use the extra attributes to the best of their abbilities!
