GW PvP Survey

I created a centralized location outside of these forums with a survey up, which you can access by clicking here and enter survey number 27085 in the Take A Survey box (located on the right side of the site) to take the PvP survey!

Please advertise this as much as possible. I want to get as many people as possibly to take this survey in order to collect as accurate as possible results.

TOO CLARIFY QUESTION 1: I am asking for a ratio of time spent PvPing to time spent PvEing on average. For the typed in response, please clarify if it is weekly/daily hours spent pvping average, as I did not specify (it honestly doesn't matter it is there just to get an idea of the average amount of time people spend doing something they may/may not have an interest in

I'd like to point out that some of these questions are clearly biased, and not quite as well written as they could be. I see evidence of trying to avoid this, but there are multiple questions that seem to cast one thing or another in a bad light.

In general, however, the major problem is that many questions aren't explained well enough. *Most* players will have no idea what a skill charm is, or even necessarily how PvP works at the higher levels. The questions should have explained these things better.

Regardless, I strongly applaud this effort -- anyone trying to seriously acquire data such as this survey is very important and helpful.

I agree, kudos for taking the initiative.

I didn't notice any of the questions to be biased though, could you be more specific? Besides a short note explaining skill charms, I think it was a pretty objective and easy-to-take survey.

Point out the biased questions so I can possibly change them in the future. All the questions, except the last, have 0 bias as far as I can tell.

As the size of the survey increases the amount of error is reduced. However, skill charms is not a key question, but more or less another question to demonstrate how people want change in some fashion and to get an overall idea of what they would like. If someone goes to take a PvP survey without much experience how do you stop that? How do you stop someone from voting in an election when they have 0 knowledge about the candidates? You simply can't, which is why you get as many possible people in hopes that the majority know what they are talking about.

Spread the word of this survey to everyone and anyone you know as to help increase the size of it, and make it taken a lot more seriously due to how valid it is.

And how does someone like myself who has spent hundreds of hours since release on both aspects get an accurate figure?

I cannot honestly answer this, as I have only played PvP with casual PuG, through these have won a fair few games and lost a fair few, but find it boring doing this, if in a regular group of friends then it maybe it would be fun have yet to find out.

I suppose you can say you have not experienced the game enough to have come to a good conclusion, which is a very good reason to not be able to answer the survey. Otherwise, I am not sure what your problem with the questions are.

I don't mind community members posting links to other informative sites etc. But I do mind people shilling their site by just doing a driveby.

Furthermore, we have no clue what you are going to do with the data. Call me evil (or really, call me jaded), but marketers thrive on data like this. Juicy data like this.
