Is Mark of Pain bugged now?
SLiCKYV
Recently I've noticed that Mark of Pain does not work at all. I'm a W/N19 and went to Frontier Gates to test out my theory on low level mobs. Got about 7 grawl melee to aggro and backed up into a corner. They were so tightly packed against me that it only looked like 3 were there. I casted MOP and started slicing away...Nothing. Not even one shadow damage landed. I already reported the bug, but I'm only one person. If anyone else notices this please report it to Anet also. Maybe it's just me??

Well, what are the modifications on the sword you were using? MoP only triggers with physical damage, if you had an elemental hilt then it would not trigger, or anything that changed your damage type.
The Destroyer
Just tried it with my Wa/Ne and its fine

My god, that is so gay. lol. It totally slipped past me that I changed to a dragon sword. I figured it'd still work because the damage would be from a sword that just has fire effects also. They need to change MOP to work with all melee dmg regardless of +effects. I can understand that it should be triggered by an ele's attacks, but dragon sword or not, I'm still swinging at the enemy.

I always found the idea of a physical weapon only inflicting elemental damage somewhat... silly...
I don't care how hot my baseball bat is burning, if I hit you with it I'm gonna break bones.

Yeah, I just sent Gaile a pm. Cross your fingers, hopefully they fix this in a patch since it renders all bows, swords, etc useless with this spell if you have a +ele modifier item on it.

Why do you want to change it? You are like asking for Conjure spells to work with non-ele weapons too. ANet nerfed Conjure because it is too powerful for W/E....so now they force you to bring an ele-weapon instead.
And if you want mark of pain to work, bring a physical weapon then. They let you equip multiple weapons for good reasons.

Well then if they made elemental weapons deal physical damage as well, it would mean armor with +AL to physical attacks would work vs. elemental weapons as well, so you're getting a nerf right there. I doubt ANet would do that just to accomodate MoP users.
