Will guilds made during the BWE's be saved like the character names or do we all have to do that process again?

No, you will have to recreate your guild upon release of the game.

That doesn't seem fair that those who pre-ordered will not have to recreate their guilds. But if I am wrong, then I am wrong.

They may have a system that they save the guild names for you, but you have to still pay to make that guild. Maybe they'll save the guild names for a couple of weeks, then anybody could use that guild name.

I really hope that guild names would be reserved. I mean, some of us have put a lot of thought into our guild name and it would suck if someone could just swipe it. I don't expect them to just allow you to keep your guild hall and your cape and all, but I don't see why just having the guild name would be a huge deal. You'd still have to go through and earn the gold to make it and all to be fair, I'd assume.

Besides, it could cause a lot of confusion if anyone could just take a beta guilds name. There'd even be the possibility of seeing people doing something stupid like registering a prominent guilds name and trying to sell it back to them (hopefully it wouldn't happen, but it's within the realm of possibility).

I believe Gaile said somewhere that the names will be reserved, but the specifics of that statement still seem to be up in the air at the moment. Maybe they'll make an official statement on the site sometime soon so we can all rest at ease.

I believe last time I checked, Guild Names will be preserved from the Beta Weekend Events into the release version of Guild Wars. No need for a petition, we got ya covered.
