is ther too many guilds
guyver
just aobut everyone u will see in gw is in a guild. i think they should either give a higher req for starting a guild or somthing. it kind of take away the fun of being in a guild. like in d2 thier not to many ppl that r in a clan and it make s it fun to be in one and the gvg battle would seem a little more bigger then now. its like yea so another gvg abttle. any one elose agree or disagree with me.

I do agree with the fact that too many people are in guilds. Creating guilds should be allowed to people over a certain level. Many of the guilds contain only a few members. I think an appropriate "test" for each profession should be imposed to create a guild. This way, you know your leader deserve his place and not some guy who farmed 30 mins and got the guild.

I love going into LA d1 and not being able to find any two people with matching guilds.
Yeah, I'd say there are too many guilds

But it gives us more guild to war with (subtle pun intended)

Is it not suppose to be easy for people to make guilds...? That's kind of why the game is centered around guilds and is named Guild Wars. Though I do think there's a lot of people out there who make guilds with a friend they know outside of the game just to have a cape and tag.

Quick question
How does the number of guilds affect you? Why is it such a big deal? I've never really understood why that is.

With so many guilds it's nearly impossible to find a group of organized players. More often than not the guild has like 10 members, of which only four are active, and everyone is doing their own thing.

So do a little guild hopping.
I honestly don't see the problem. I can admit it's kind of annoying, but people want to try and be a guild leader, so they try it, or other people just want a guild of 2 or three people, so they have their own. I really honestly can't see a real reason to make it harder to do it, thereby giving other people a chance to have their own guild the way they want.

And who really defines what a guild should be "used" for? If you want to just have a place to chill at with your friends and not have to rely on pressing "N" all the time, then you can make a guild for that specific reason. No biggie.

If you want to find an organized guild, I would suggest getting to the volcano islands, talking with people there, and usually you can find a guild that's hardcore PvE or PvP. Or both sometimes. Plus, if at least 1 member is in volcano islands, and you've talked with them, and you like them, most likely you'll like the other members of the guild...unlike Ascalon City where...

is the most common thing you see...
I shouldn't need to go further than that...

At the way things are ATM, it's easier to join an established guild than to create one - you'll never find decent members.

when i first started i had no intention of ever joining someone elses guild, i wanted to be my own leader and pick my cape and go off and adventure. i found a few people doing quests and missions who were not in guilds and they joined me. now 3 weeks later only 1 of them is active(rarely), and now recruiting is impossible. i dont really test people, if im in a mission ill talk to them a bit, give them an invite and if they are interested theyll join. but all of em leave cause they want to be in a guild with dozens of active members, so i fear ill never be able to do some GvG battles until i just quit my guild i love so much and go join someone elses. boo hoo
