Since a week or so Ive been experiencing disconnection but now I cant even login. It gives me the Err=5 error message. I could play before without problems but these days aren't the same. Im behind a router ( Linksys BEFSR41 ) but I dont know why it should be the problem because I was playing without configuring anything, Same thing for system specs.
Any help will be appreciated.

Are you sure you didn't somehow activate a firewall that is now blocking your sign in? Something like Norton Security, Zone Alarm, or the like? It may be worth checking. Good luck.

Also, were you updating when the problem happened? I understand that the firewall pops in again with updates.

If it happen be the router (since I have the same one) only thing I think that could cause that would be someone else in the house is using that port. Like Warcraft 3 for example (only game I can think of that uses 6112). If there are other computer users in that house, see if they have made any changes to the router. If none have. Then I would check your computer for any security software. As already said, Zone Alarm, Nortan and even possible McAfee as well as any other firewall.

IMO if you do have some sort of firewall on your computer and u are behind that router, you can remove the firewall from your computer. If security is an issue for you, you can tweak the router to set up security. Such as forwarding all ports that are unused to the "bit bucket". But anywho thats probably to much info for right now.

You can have more than one computer on one router using the same port. Port is associated to the IP of that machine and the Router works out what is going on. That is the whole point in Routers.

They route the information around networks etc. If it didn't work that way, you would have one router for every single PC in corporate networks and gaming networks. It just wouldn't be feesable.

If you are having that sort of problem, I would check all your settings on both PC's and your routers. You may have a conflict somewhere on your network.

Ok guys, after some investigation, I had found that my network card was defective so I switched to my motherboards'. But then, that wasn't the problem, I tried moving the computer in case the cable had problems, it didn't. I decided to format my computer and now it works!
