Question(s)...

I got got a "pre order" copy of gw at bestbuy for $10. This is really cheap for a high budget game. I am wondering whether or not i will have to buy a $50 version after it comes out, and if so then can i still play on the 27th with the key in the $10 version?

This is one reason why I think Best Buy are tools ---
In presumption .. HANG ONTO YOUR BESTBUY RECEIPT, because you may be able to use it to get a 10.00 discount on the game. Since that is what Gamestop is doing.. .but they only charge 5.00 for the preorder.
Now, you WILL be able to use your pre-order copy key to get into the game on the 27th. On the 28th you will need the Real Game key to play.
Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.. but this is how I understand it .. and I have been scannin the threads.

I also ought at Best Buy, so here's what I know. If you only spent the $10 you will have to spend another $50 to get the game. They did it kind of strange where they allowed customers to only buy the $10 pre-order kit, as an individual item. If you "pre-order" from Best Buy, meaning you spent $50 now to order the game when it comes out on the 28th, then they throw in the $10 kit for free, allowing you access.
You should, however, still be able to access the game on the 27th & 28th using your pre-order kit key. ANet has no way of knowing if you actually pre-ordered the game or not, the keys they gave Best Buy were for pre-orders, so they should allow access regardless of whether you bought only the $10 kit or the actual $50 game (and got the kit for free).
Hope that helped...

Ok
1) you should use the search feature.
2) The pre-order key will get you in for the April BWE and on the 27th.
3) You will need the full retail on the 28th. (you have to spend the other $40)
4) The $10 was a down payment on the full game.
PS: It is a great game. Just look at some screen shots and some of the videos.
hope this answers it for you.

lol, I must agree that bestbuy are tools lol. I just bought the game and got the box at EB lol Only did that because I wasnt sure I would have the money the day the game came out and I had it then and there and decided to say screw it.

But from what the sticker on my box says, it seems like the value will be deducted from the $50 when I go to get the game, but who knows? Obviously not the Best Buy employees, otherwise they would have told me...

There's an Early Access period from anyone who preordered, it starts on 12:01am on the 27th and extends for 48 hours. That means you get to play all of the 27th and 28th with your preorder key before having to enter a retail CD-Key.
