Computer freezes while loading

This usually happens in pre searing when im going out of ashford abbey into ashford. I hit the loading screen and it just stays at 0%, then i can hear the sounds as if it was done loading, then it just freezes. I've restarted my computer and waited and it still happens. Here are my specs


XP service pack 2
AMD 2800+
1 GB DDR SDRAM
80 gig 7200 rpm HD
256 MB Radeon 9600
