I was playing some PvP the other night and somehow managed to get to the HoH! Great, I'm thinking, this is cool, never been here before this should be a fun/tough match. Well the team I was on fell apart and got wiped from the map in about 60 seconds by a korean team. I'm typing out "Good match" in the chat bar when several other messages, from the victorous team, come across. Wonderful things like:
"You suck!"
"Go home you ----ing Yankees."
"You got owned you ---- losers."
My question/frustration is...why be a sore winner?!?! Is there really that much anemosity between the countries that they have to be insulting just because they had an easy win? Just a little frustrating and frankly, I went back to PvE right after so I didn't have to deal with sore winners Anybody else had bad PvP experiences?

I've not played pvp in Guild Wars yet. I'm trying to get through the game first. But the fact is, I'm not all that excited about pvp. It's not the fights themselves; they seem like intense competition that should be exciting. It's the people. If pvp'ers didn't want a reputation as gankers and jerks perhaps they shouldn't do so much junior high school chest thumping and trash talking. That sort of thing turns me off really fast and makes me think poorly of the people who do such juvenile excrement. And I've heard enough of it on these forums to fill my patience. That's not even in the arenas and such.
So who is going to call me a noob and prove my point? Who is going to show their lack of maturity and play that stupid "I'm better than you game?" If nobody does perhaps I'll start to look forward to pvp, at least a little.

Nothing from winners but if people lose they just start insulting the winners and callnig them cheaters and stuff like that. I've been on teams with these people a few times and felt so ashamed, I don't want them to think it's the thoughts of the whole team.

It's different in the HoH. I'd say the Koreans take more abuse than they give out verbally.
You got the raw end of a downhill spitball contest. Sure as anything they've been insulted many times by Americans. That doesn't excuse their behavior of course but it's not that they're just rude spontaneously, or rude as a culture.

Yeah, it happens so often that it's quite disgusting. Most of the time, as soon as the game starts, you hear us north american saying stuff like, "get korea," "---- korea," "------------- korea" and whatnot. It's really bad on both sides. I'm really not surprised that they retaliate when they beat an american team.
