I havent had a chance to get on yet and wont for a couple days and I'm wondering about this rune trader. How expensive are runes from the traders?

I'm kinda disappointed because I have like 5 majors to be sold and about 10 minors but I dont really care since money isn't a big issue in this game anyways.

As far as I know, every major town has a rune trader, but I have only checked a couple

Most of the runes as of a few minutes ago that I try to sell are selling for very low (the trader is offering 25 for most of my minors and about 50 for most of my majors). Runes such as Vigor and Absorbtion on the other hand sell for 300+ (minor) to the trader. It just depends on how well the runes are sold by the Trader. People are buying Vigor and Absorbtion like mad right now beacuse they're relatively cheap (or were earlier today at least), so they sell for more.

Superior Vigor and Absorption are selling for 100k each at the trader and still sell out in fractions of a second.

Draw your own conclusions.

I guess we don't need a price guide for runes anymore, do we? It's still a bit shocking what some runes sell for (17k for Superior Energy Storage, 4k for Superior Expertise), but I just have to remember that these prices don't reflect how good an item is, merely its popularity.

Peace,

can a used rune be salvaged out of something? If I use a rune in a weapon, later discover a better weapon, can I salvage my rune out and use it again? If yes, do I need expert salvage or is normal okay?

Atleast one good thing has come of this, all the post about euro servers not having enough players will actually pay off. If there are in fact less players, the Rune traders are less likely to sell out, then euro get all rune easier than american servers.

It can be salvaged back. You need a Expert Salvage Kit and you have a chance of only getting materials.
You cannot put runes in weapons tho.. Only in armors

But weapon's upgrade can also be salvaged back in the same way.

As for the rune trader, it's a good idea. The problem is the npc is always out of the runes i want and he buy the rune i dont want for same price as merchant npc. Tried to sell a superior domination rune to the rune trader earlier. He wanted to give me 25gold for it

But on the flipside there are fewer players supplying the traders, so they have less stock. I don't expect there to be much of a difference, myself.
