Dwarven Ale?
relientK_fan
What does the Dwarven Ale do? I don't want to blow my gold on it right now, so what is it and what does it do?
berryesw
It makes you "drunk" in that it distorts the screen. Very annoying and makes it difficult to play.
relientK_fan
Lol. Those devs are crazy.
Infinite Sadness
lol. thats SOOO cool!

The icon for the ale is really dumb, though. Maybe it's a popular inside joke that I don't get. A construction worker?
FireFox
thats the icon that shows up when Anet hasnt made an icon for the item yet lol
Devil's Dictionary
It means "work on this icon is in progress". How hard is it to understand?
Perishiko ReLLiK
Lol, i remember that icon during the beta's... heh... and the Ale is now bought at merchants where? All towns, or?...
I love this idea... its hillariously great...

Ah sorry. Actually a bar with diagonal yellow and black stripes would have been a better "Under Construction" symbol.
After all, I have a picture of a construction worker with a cup of coffee that says, "HOW ABOUT A NICE CUP OF STFU?" Perhaps now you can understand why a picture of some random guy with what looks like an orange construction hat (how can you be sure when the icon is less than half an inch big?) does not necessarily scream "Missing Icon."
It would have been cool if they put the box with the red x in it, like when pictures don't load for web pages.
EDIT: Perishiko ReLLiK, you can find them from Dwarven merchants, which is any [Merchant] who is a dwarf. Mostly in the southern Shiverpeaks area I'm assuming.

Just a minute, if you look at the icon, you'll see it actually says 'Under Constriction' in white on it.. hard to get confused about that.

Like I said, it's pretty hard to see. Are you telling me you take long periods of time to scrutinize every item icon you see? Honestly? Didn't think so
Yes, yes, I'm a blind retarded noob for not getting the dumb ale sign, sue me. Maybe I'll buy you a few pints after you're through

Dont' drink mroe than 6. It seems to be thet limit (of effects). I know since I drank various quanities, the highest being 14 at once.
Ale's been aroudn for a long time. Jsut previously, it could only be obtained doing an obscure, not well known mini-quest in pre-searing ascalon area. (hunter's ale)

Keep in mind that in order to find these dwarven merchants an enormous construction sign that reads "Work in Progress" needs to be placed right next to them. Its possible to overlook if you don't have a big neon sign pointing directly at it!
