barrage question

I don't have the skill yet, but in the skill description on this site it says that it removes all the preparations.

1) Are preparations removed before or after using the skill? (aka Is it possible to shoot 5 Kindled arrows at a time?)

2) How is it useful if the preparations are removed before the attack?

Preps are removed as soon as you use the skill. You cannot use any preps with barrage whatsoever. Natural rites and stances you can use. (i.e serpents quickness, favorable winds)

It is very, very useful. Look at the recharge time and the energy cost. Couple that with the +1-13 damage and you are looking at a very nice, fast, inexpensive AoE.

For example. My marksmanship is at 14 my expertise is 11. Therefore, when I use barrage its essentially free and I can spam it all day long. If my target is surrounded by 2 or more targets in the mob I deal an average of 25 - 31 damage per hit, per target.

Good luck capturing it currently. Markis is the easiest and because of the recent changes the cut scene for the mission starts the minute he dies. You'll have to wait till they fix it, or you'll have to wait to get to Abbadons Mouth which is at the end of the story line.

Yea, in pvp barrage is amazing. High expertise makes it so you can constantly cast it (you don't even need auto-attack just keep using barrage). The +1-13 makes it so in pvp you can constantly spam 50 dmg on up to 6 targets.

The second they fix Markis i'm grabbing it.

You can still get it from Markis the old way (while he uses it).
