Question about Vampiric Upgrade

I recently got a max damage Vampiric Butterfly Sword of Enchanting, but the Health degeneration is really annoying. Is there a way I can counter this using an item with health regeneration for a Warrior?

weapon sets. mending.

I don't have Mending, I meant like a Shield or something.
