Cuz it's in violation of the ELUA that you agree'ed to when you created your account.

Because the user agreement does not give you the right to harrass other players who payed their fifty bucks as well.
It's not all about you.

Because Arena Net sold you a permission (license) to access a public place or service, and you should be banned if you do not follow the rules. Simple, clean, and oh so infuriating, i know.

Tut tut tut...three serious responses. While a few of the sharper individuals did catch that one
First, I'd like to say that I am honored to be quoted so many times, even if three of you thought I was serious and probably now think I'm one of those said individuals who ruins their gaming experience.
Well, the horrible necessity of a sarcasm button set aside, I would like to point out that in online game communities EVERYWHERE, there will be ALWAYS certain individuals who display unwanted/crude/etc. behavior. Some companies have taken up a policy to ban such offenders, but even they cannot completely solve the problem. The solution? There may not even be one. But I know what is NOT a solution. Bitching about it on the forums. Like one of you put it so well, "It's not all about you."
They should add something to the user agreement: "While you are not entitled to [so and so unwanted behavior] while playing this game on our servers, you will have to put up with it. Failure to comply may result in a permanent ban." This is one of our duties as online gamers. We have to put up with those basterts ruining the community for us. Stay strong, fellow civilized gamers!
