healparty is bugged?
Animuz
Ive got a monk lately and got healparty.
Its a good skill but as the name says it heals your party. This spell doesnt heal allies in your group or pets of rangers/necromancers. This is a huge let down for me because a friend of mine has a necro and usually calls out some pets. Its really hard for me to heal them 1 by 1 if they are running around and stuff.
So i think heal party should at least heal allies and maybe necro pets too.

Necro summons are meant to die.
Red Locust
That would make it overpowered and would make certain necro spells useless.

Get him to stand still so you can use heal area between fights on the minions grouped behind him.

"Party" is the 8 core members, "allies" are generally any green dots.

BAH! That's just plain picky. lmao!
hehe But seriously. I gotta agree with the original author of this thread. I wish it would heal "Everybody".
It feels like your using "Skills" in this game. Not "Casting Spells". Like buffs for example. I don't ever use buffs in this game... Cuz they don't last for more than a minute or two. I wish the buffs lasted like... 30 minutes.
Hell, if buffs lasted a while. I'd make a new toon... Something like E/Mo. Earth / Protection. =) would be sweet.

Heal area does WONDERS for keeping this silly bone horrors alive. I once did a mission with a death necro, and I was on my E/Mo healer. Every time they stopped and gathered, I'd use Heal Area. Pretty soon he had his own personal army of about 10 bone horrors walking around with us. It was awesome!

yeah but heal party is hardly used because of this. It takes 15 energy wich is ALOT to monk (avg 40mp). In pvp u hardly see anyone use heal party because after 3 casts u are useless for a while. This spell should take either less energy, say 10 mp, or heal all allies and pets. I used to use it but then realised i could heal my pvp m8s better with healing breeze, word of heal , heal other/osiron of heal. This is just 1 skill that needs tweaking imo. Theres more that are not used because of high energy > effect.

Better idea: Verata's Sacrifice, and have your party's monk simply heal/mendcondition the necro in question! :O

Of course, the one plus to Heal Party is it's unlimited range. It can keep people alive when otherwise you wouldn't get close enough in time.

Heal party is efficient when you need to heal the entire party. This usually happens in the first area of the dragon lair or when you're in the swamps with henchmen.

Like one other poster said, the real benefit (at least I think) of heal party is that it heals the whole party no matter where they are - even if out of range (OK so not on the other side of the board, but you get the point). I always have it equipped with my EMo Healer because he doesn't have mana problems being an Ele primary. When some warrior decides to storm of, or I have to hitch it because some meany is after me, then heal party is very good to keep the party going. Also when there are like 2 warriors engaging one enemy, other spellcasters standing around in the area casting their stuff, heal party is nice because it heals everyone no matter how far they are from me.

Why on earth would you want to spend energy points healing someone's pet? Especially necro pets? Necros get a heal for their summons, let them heal their own crap. Pets won't bitch when they die, but players do. Unless you are in a circumstance where you can heal a pet then I would probably do it, but not in the middle of a battle where I put players ahead of pets.
A smart necro will enchant all his undead pets with Death Nova before a battle to give out an extra burst of damage when they die.

A good Monk should be doing everything they can to make sure that the team can get on with doing what they do best. Anyone who thinks that doesn't stretch beyond eight red bars is not a good Monk.
Also, to be honest, anyone who bitches when they die is probably less useful than a minion, so can just slide beneath them on the priority list as far as I'm concerned.

I have necro secondary and man what a waste of energy trying to keep them alive when it's better spent elsewhere.
Try telling people in the UW or Fissure that you have no energy cause you were to busy healing necro pets.
I am not trying to flame with this post, but jeez, I only get 4 clicks in energy regen and have about 40-50 energy depending on what weapons I use.

Inposted because your initial post made it sound like you didn't heal pets simply because it was beneath you and you felt the necro should do it if they want to have pets. The simple fact is, that pet or not, Monks are still the most efficient healers, so refusing to heal just because it's a pet is the sort of narrow-minded noobness that makes a good healer important in the first place.
Your second post makes me think you weren't saying that though , so we'll leave it at that.

Nah man I wasn't trying to be snobbish at all
In fact with protection prayers I usually will buff the ranger's pets or if I see they are diseased I will cure them. I only do this if other people in my party are not needing the heals or buffs. Pets need luvin' to, I agree, especially if the ranger didn't bring his pet rez with him.
Bone Horrors just plain out smell bad, so the quicker they die the happier I am

A smart necro will realize his pets will die and buff them with Death Nova. In the end necro pets are sometimes better off dying then a rangers pet.
