Cd Key Given Away By Ncsoft

Is it just me or have many people lost their CD keys? I have been unfortunate that NCSoft has given mine away. My Account had my CD key on it. After about a 2 week break, I got back on it and it was GONE. How strange, i thought. I knew Tech Support would be able to clear up this issue, so then i go submit my answer. I get a reply that they need to know my Account key and where i bought it. I give em it and then i dont get a single reply wether they are still investigating the issue or not! I know i did NOT give my account key out. I have even hidden my CD Case a couple times. If you have had the same unfortunate coincidence happen, or can help me with this delima please post on this thread.

Is it possible for someone to create an account with a cd-key already used by someone?

If your account is compromised (ie. if somebody hacks/keylogs your account details) then NCSoft will close the account.

It's not a case of giving it away, it's a case of denying the malicious hacker usage of the account. Unfortunately it also means denying the original owner usage of it, too.

The best thing to do is keep talking to support at ArenaNet/NCSoft and somehow convince them that you're the original owner and that you'd like to change the account password or something.

There used to be alot of problems with keygens, cd key theft and whatnot in Half-Life... Valve used to restore people's accounts if they could show them a scan or photo of the actual CD key on the back of the instruction book in the CD case. It's worth a try if you're sure your key has been stolen or keygenned.
