Question On Ranger's Expertise Attribute

Hi. I'm planning to make a Ranger/Elementalist and so far my build consists of only 1 skill from the elementalist's skill menu (conjure flame). I was wondering if the energy cost reduction of expertise applies to elementalist attack spells, hexes, and enchantments (this will help me a lot in deciding whether or not I should get a few more elementalist skills)

thanks

Guides - Guild Wars Guru Expertise Costs

Attack Skills, Preparations, Traps, Stances, Rituals, Glyphs, and Shouts.

So, not it won't help with Elementalist Spells, Hexes, or Enchantments.

thanks

by the way, i noticed that the site says expertise reduces the energy cost by 4% per point. i heard that at level 12 it reduces 60% (5% per point). which is right?

edit: here's the site.. apparently it's also from gw guru

http://www.guildwarsguru.com/expertise-id79.php

also, this page doesn't list stances, rituals, glyphs, or shouts

The one help it DOES give you though .. is a little bit of energy management.
With less energy being spent on your skills as a ranger you will have more enrgy left over for use on spells.

Those ranger skills costing you 10energy, that now cost you 5 energy..... well you get the idea.. With a start of 25 energy and going from dropping to 15 for using one skill to dropping only to 20 for using the same skill... that gives you 5 energy that you didn't have to use one place that can go someplace else.

Oh, just remember.. that conjure flame you were wanting...it must be used in conjunction with a bow that have the fire element on it.

Draken : Fezz is correct as of this time... All I am saying is that by reducing the costs of what he has listed, it gives you a higher remainder left over to use on other things..like spells (that will cost what they cost yes)

I was told recently(a week or two ago) that it only effects attack skills, preparations, or traps is that information out of date can somone who snuck into the scandinavian BWE confirm or deny this?

It effects basically every type of skill among the ranger lines: attack skills, preparations, rituals, traps, shouts, and stances. I can confirm that this is correct- I've had it reduce the cost of stances(frenzy, etc), attack skills(smite, power attack), and shouts(shields up!). As for preparations, rituals, and traps, those are only in ranger lines, but from experience, any skill you choose from the ranger profession is affected by expertise. Similar skills from other professions are also, but spells are not affected, regardless of the spell type. Pretty much everything except spells will be reduced by Expertise.
