I noticed last night that I had an invite to a guild. I'm guessing it was somebody I had teamed up with during a quest but didn't remember who. I "declined" the invite because I didn't know anything about the Guild. Is there a way to find such info out? I don't remember the Guild but would like to know for future reference. Mucahs Gracias.

My Answer would be you did the RIGHT thing... Guild Wars seems to run rampant with useless 1 player guilds... A serious gaming unit behind a guild is what your looking for... They would never invite you without first talking to you about joining or at least giving you a link to there online presence... Remember the Units/Guilds that communicate are the ones worth joining...

I'm leader of a guild and I completely agree. Granted, we're a small guild right now, just 8-9 members. But this is also my first online game.

My theory on inviting people is to take people out on a quest/mission or two, see how well they do, and if I like their style and we get along, then I chat with them a bit in town to get a feel for their personality. Then, I ask them politely if they would care to join the guild.

I've had people run up and ask to join the guild, and I laugh at them. It's kind of the same with having people randomly invite you to join their guild. They're either desperate or have no social graces, neither of which I want in my guild.

dude, this is totally unrelated to the topic at hand.

And to the original question. You did the right thing declining the guild invitation.

As the leader of my guild I say that you should join a guild with members that you can trust. My guild only has people that I know personally whether that be in school or living near me. You should go with people you feel confident and respected with. I limit the guild to people that I know as I don't like having people I don't know calling me a n00b and not using proper english. Best to stick with people you know as you know they're personality and wheter they are mature enough to be in a guild with you.
