Warrior-Monk Panzer?

Is the warrior monk still the uber tank he was a few BTW back? I haven't had time to keep up with things but the last BTW (3?) I partook in left a lot of feedback on (some other) forums about how uber the warriro monk was and how rangers hadn't much use after the first few moments of combat due to the quick closing in time between PvP and PvE/M.

On a side note, what is the best recomended solo PC for those of us who like to mix stealth and melee?

W/Mo is great for PvE soloing, but it's far from "uber" in PvP. No build is unstoppable in PvP. They rely so heavily on enchants usually that a well placed Well of Profane from my E/N stopped them in their tracks. And true a bow isn't the greatest for soloing, unless you bring a pet and maybe are a R/Mo or Mo/R, but it's lethal in groups.

Seeming those self-healing W/Mos makes me smile. Then I know there are crappy players on enemy team.

I take it they have been towned down a bit. I believe it was BTW 2 that had the complaints on the warrior-monk being uber. I might go for a ranger/monk next BTW to see how that suites me for solo play. I usually don't thrive in the online gaming world so guilding isn't usually something that I manage.

Maybe that free ithica bow will be useful, after all....

I think War/Mo's are easy to conter since they're mostly melee-only and the monk-parts usually there for healing...

Unless of course, the War/Monk player happens to be the team's rezzer, and carries Restore Life (and Healing Touch, before they gave it that horrible Divine Favour 'bonus'), as well as happily making Life Bonds with heavily focused team mates, taking advantage of the fact that they can get by on adren, and that no one is going to attack a prime Warrior.

Teams with self centred 'Paladin' players are obviously going to hit the dirt hard, but a well played War/Monk is something certainly not to be underestimated.

War/El may have some spells and they aren't melee
War/Ne got spells too...well most of the other combinations but W/R and W/MO got attackingspells even if not everyone uses them with a Warrior...

agin do to low mana would then not be mostly melee with spells as an afterthought?

Warrior's Endurance is usually the answer to that;

"For 5-19 seconds, you gain 3 energy each time you hit with a melee attack. Warrior's Endurance cannot raise your energy above 5-15. This is an elite skill."

The description can be a little misleading, to clarify it means that War's End hits a ceiling of 5-15 energy, but you can still naturally regen energy past that ceiling.

Spell Warriors are generally not 'Warriors who spam Flare', rather they throw out key spells to augment their current Warrior abilities i.e. Conjure [element], Armour of Earth, Fragility, etc.
