I see a lot of anger towards one man guilds...

Why?

The only two arguements I've seen so far are:

1) I can't find people to join my guild cause they're all in one man guilds and I don't know how to use the whisper feature to ask if they wanna join my guild!

2) They made their own guild to get a cape which I have no problem with but they STOLE MY NAME!!! OMG!!!!11!1one

Why do people not like one man guilds? If someone beat you to the name you wanted then oh well, it could have just as easily been a 100 man guild that beat you to it.

Yeah, my only qualm is cos there's noone to join my guild It bothers me because the game would be better off with more large guilds than so many little ones, it'd make the PvP more fun.. however.. if I really can't get more members for my guild, i'll just join another, not gonna spoil my own fun cos I wanna be leader and wear that lovely cape, in the guild with the great name.. oh wait, maybe i'll wait it out a little longer..

I had a one man guild because i wanted a cape but then i invited my brother. We had an arguement one day so i disbanded the guild!!!111

If people have the gold to spend how they wish, it's their choice. They payed their $ for the game too.

Cola, I hope your post was more to make the morons think then it was to get an honest answer. The dopes that whine about 1 man guilds dont have a reason, they just need something to whine about. So I doubt any of them will try to give you an answer, because they dont have a good one.

yes i know, but there would be so many more larger guilds if all those one man guilds would join a larger one.

I didn't want to join a guild up until recently and I did finally get into the guild I wanted about an hour ago.

Perhaps they're just waiting to scope out the situation, see which guilds are good, which are bad, and which are just inactive and in the mean-time, wear a spiffy looking cape.

I've been grouping with henchmen and as long as I can progress through the game I'll continue to do this. I made a guild so I'd stop getting random invites to other guilds.

I have np with one man Guilds, i have problems with people who are in a guild and dont give a shit about getting a guild hall, pvp, rules etc.

Which i had in my other guild, i tell you, ive never seen such morons in my life.

I only asked for 2k per member (while i saved 20k myself) was ofc, to much to ask.

What did they do? Join a guild with a guild hall, people dont want to work on things anymore, they want it, but if they have to do something for it....hoho.

(and yeah im still pissed off about it )

I thought the purpose of having a one-man guild was to have the cape.

I don't have a problem with the one man guilds, when I look for people to join my guild I would at least have partied with them numerous times neways and then simply ask them before inviting them.

if someone has a one man guild for the cape, so be it.
if someone has a one man guild to stop getting invited so be it.

If someone really wants to join a bigger guild, they'll disband their own and go search for a proper one. You can leave guilds at any time, and getting invited is obviously hardly a problem for most guilds.

last i heard you had to have the cape to get the hall (also the sigil)

wow this remind me of my current guild, which only got two memeber. Our guild only got a leader and me, and that our leader has been gone or AFK for over a week. It suck to be in a guild with few people, because you can't fight in PvP or in a guild hall. In fact, at this rate, our guild will never make it into guild hall!

I'm the leader of a two person guild who will not be in PvP or GvG, will likely never have a 'hall', and could not care less about 'the ladder' or 'ranking'.

Why?

First and foremost because we got tired of the unwanted guild invites from strangers who couldn't even be bothered to actually try to TALK TO US (Guess what? We're more than warm bodies to be used to fill up your roster!).

The second reason was to have our OWN cape that we chose ourselves.

The third reason was to have a channel to talk on that isn't spammed to death.

The fourth reason was to have the tag we wanted.

We usually group with henchmen and other than a few bumps, have managed to outfit and quest without issue.

We may or may not ever group with other players. If we do, it will be because we want to, not because we have to... which we both like about this game.

The notion that someone complains because we exist is interesting, but ultimately (and thankfully) irrelevant.

I've not a problem with one man guilds in any way shape or form. I personally don't care whether or not they want to GvG pvp, or whether or not they've got 30 members.

Before I joined the guild I'm in right now I just created my own because I wanted a cool cape of my own, woohoo, 2k down the drain. No big deal.

One man guilds aren't hurting anybody. And you know, for those who think the guilds don't get big enough because they're all in one-man guilds, maybe you guys should stop running around ascalon trying to recruit with "Kings of Nachos recruiting!!!--::~NO FEES:;:::CAPES! SOON GUILD HALLS!!!!!::`~~"

I mean, that ones cool because they're the "Kings of Nachos", at least that would be cool if it were a real guild. But you know, whenever I say someone advertising just "we have capes" that tells me to not join that guild. If that's their only highlight, pfft!

I want a guild with good friends who can sit down have a drink and bs through teamspeak while playing the game, if there are those who haven't found such a group as ideal as what I've mentioned above, or one that doesn't meet their own standards, by all means, let them be in a guild by themselves where they're happy. They payed their $50.

am i the only one who won't join or create a guild because they think the cape looks ugly on their character?
