upgrade a gold weapon question

I have a gold poisoners bow of fortitude and wanted to know some info about upgrading that.

First question....

I saw some ppl say they dye their chaos weapons that glow and change the color of the glow, does this mean i can bye my brown wooden longbow black?

second.

if i use this ice bow string i have, the bow will become an Ice bow of fortitude correct? i will not lose my fortitude grip correct? I would love to get a chaos bow string to make her glow!!! do they have that and does the glow effect take place on the longbow?

third...

After all upgrades are said and done, will I still have my bow as a gold weapon?

1. I don't think you can dye bows.

2. Yes, an icy bow string will replace the poisoner's bow string.
I've never neard of a "chaos string" before. Eternal bows
and storm bows are the two that I've seen "glow" or look
radically different than the normal set of bows.

3. Yes, you will still have a rare weapon after all is said and done.
