This has been changed to minus 40 armour now I've noticed. Does this increase damage against spells too?
Slade xTekno
It has always increased damage from elemental spells. However, it does not effect spell damage without one, like a lot of Necromancer spells.

Ok the 40% less armor is certainly a greater boost, but seriously, i didn't notice any elemental damage boosts
Evan The Cursed
40%?
No, it's a universal -40AL, which is pretty much double damage, same as before.
Well, only in regards to damage that doesn't ignore armor. I guess that means slightly less than double damage from armor penetrating attacks, and no change to attacks that ignore armor.

Yeah that armour reduction still hurts alot. If they removed that completely then you would see alot more tactics users then relying on monk 2nd profession too much.

Not tried it since update, but -40 ac at high level isn't 2x damage like before. It actually brings your AC down to the same as a caster for a short duration. You still have the benefit of absorbtion which caster classes do have.
Overall it is an improvement to the skill, and with high tactics may actually be worth equiping, 140 heal, and you loss 60 during cast is still worth while and can save your life. It is fairly spamable also.

I hate healing signet. It's a terrible skill..
-You have to wait for it to heal you first of all
-While your waiting your either doing nothing or taking alot of damage thanks to that -40
-Heh, and finally when you get healed, it's probably not even for that much The max was 130?. No wonder everyone goes monk :P

I use it all the time. my war uses tactics, and its great to use combined with shield stance, or discliplined stance, since you dont havta worry about taking the hits. If i use shield stance, i can usually get 2-3 heals in, maybe more, which is a lot of hp
Mandy Memory
I use it with gladiators defence, or signet of judgement, anything to lower the amount of hits you take makes it a useful heal

It's a nice skill if you know when and how to use it. Use it during evading/blocking stances or in conjunction with armor boosting skills like Dolyak Signet or Watch Yourself! It only sucks if you dont have a clue.

The -40 AL during the 2 second casting time was off putting at first, but after some practice it's a very effective skill.
This is the only healing my Warrior relies on, and as others have mentioned, it needs to be used with other skills.
For heavy healing, I make sure that I kick off one or more skills that has a duration such as Gladiator's Defense/"Watch Yourself!"/Shield Stance/Doylak Signet/etc (depending what I have equipped).
Also, if I have Deadly Riposte or Riposte equipped, they'll be used during the casting. Even though Healing Sig takes 2 seconds to cast, you can use the ripostes during those 2 seconds. Not only do they deal out damage, they can cover the 25% chance that an attack may get past Gladiator's Defense or Shield Stance.

There's the infamous "Watch Yourself" skill which will greatly reduced the damage taken while using this skill. You can also combine Defy Pain and there'll very little effect on you.
