I my main inventory bag, a belt pouch, and another one of those smaller bags that hold 5-10 items. I was wondering if you guys knew where i could another of the smaller bags so i would have 2.

Once again - Ascalon City only has bags AFTER you have attempted the Nolani Acadamy mission (which would take you to Yaks Bend if you were successful)

That can't possibly be true since I have been able to buy bags with my last two characters that have entered Ascalon City and before they had even done any missions. As a matter of fact, both of my last characters bought bags in Ascalon as one of the first things that they did in Post-Searing.

After you complete it once you can get bags there, regardless of char.
I can get expert salvage kits too, it seems to "unlock" them in a sense.

One of my guildmates was with me when his first character entered Ascalon City for the first time. He bought both of his bags from there right away. He borrowed the gold from me in order to do so. This was his first character that he ever played let alone reached post-searing with.
Also, my first character bought bags in Piken Square before ever doing any missions. He also bought both ruins of holding in PS right afterwards.

I'm not sure about the bags, I was more talking about expert salvage kits.
EDIT: I lied, there is 2 merchants in ascalon, 1 sells bags, 1 doesn't.

you're talking to the wrong merchent then....there are two merchents in ascalon...one of them has always sold bags.

ya I know, but I dont even go to the lower level one anymore, he has nothing I want, so I only use the other one (the one by the dye trader)

well it has been a little while since my last alt went through searing, (before the last patch but after the one before it). I have another alt that will be going through again soon so I will just check again. Maybe I just missed it with my last one.

I know all of my chars that are currently in Post searing Ascalon can buy the expert salvage kits, the merchant is next to the dye trader/material trader/rare material trader (in that area). If you are not in Post Searing you can not get an expert salvage kit.

Piken Squre has ESK I know that for a fact because I got some with my new character lastnight. You can get bags from Ascalon, just have to talk to the guy merchant.
Oh, and Piken Squre is the camp North West of Ascalon, the first city zone you probably will encounter if you're doing skill quests.

Well, I'm in Post-Searing Ascalon City right now with a level 17 character and neither Laren nor Arnaud offer the ESK. I have bought them before from PS and YB so that's not the problem. The problem is, why are others able to buy them there but not me? Are they really offered or is this just speculation? If they are offered please post a screenshot if possible. Thank you.
EDIT: are you guys just mistaking the regular salvage kits as ESK? There are two regular kits available. One has 10 uses for 40 gold and the other has 25 uses for 100 gold. The actual ESKs have 25 uses for 400 gold.

Thats crazy, I just went back and I couldn't either.
However, with my second and third char right after I did the searing I was able to buy them there...

I found the whole statement to be surprising considering that I've played since release and have never once seen an ESK in AC with any character. And I do visit the merchants there quite often as well.

I didnt say I got EKS in Acalon City. I said I got it b4 Yak's Bend.

I was actually furthering the conversation that we had been having throughout this thread about whether or not ESK were available in AC. We had already established the fact that they were available in PS.

ok, I cant help but laugh at this thread, is ANet randomly changing when you can find the ESKs or something? lol. I did a quick check with all 3 of my post-searing characters, and none of them were able to get the ESK in Ascalon City. Now I know that I was able to get them there before because I remember getting one there with my main when I brought over my last alt. Strange.

Yes it is as you are not limited to the number of ESKs that you can buy from a merchant except by how much, or little, gold and inventory room that you have.
