changing pets

my w/ranger freind has a cougar or whatever for a pet, he wants to know how to get rid of that pet so he can get a wolf is there a tamer u can take it to or something???? thanks, very appreciated

there are NPC's who say they'll "take" your pet and give them to a wealthy patron in Cantha. In postsearing, there's one in Old Ascalon, just outside of Ascalon city. There's one in presearing in regent valley.

If he has the M******* Stalker pet "the pet you must tame to become a ranger", I suggest saving it til you get to the ranger trainer in Old Ascalon Post-Searing... he asks for a rare pet... the Stalker that you happen to have. Show him the stalker and he gives you Hunters shot and a few other skills for your... trouble... ha. That is if he is young in the game, ignore that if he is way past that part...

To get rid of the pet you have to visit a "Tamer" which will let you donate your animal for the cause. Old Ascalon for the Tamer so I hear, but if there isn't one... blame the guy above me. Aha.

ok so there is a tamer outside of old ascalon, good ill tel him, ya i think he has the meladinks stalker and he is way past searing.
