a Ranger/ele using earth magic... (no Barrage+conjour!)

Except I'm doing builds rather than strategies now =P (used to design oddball strategies for Warcraft 3), and this is my first real build for guild wars. oh and im part of the Amazon Basin here, not Clan f00t

In any case, here is my Earth magic using ranger build - it works well in both PvP and PvE... so with out further ado, i present the Asunder build

Stats:

13 expertise (10+3)
6 wilderness survival (5+1)
11 marksman ship (10+1)
10 earth magic

Skills and Spells:

PvP

Poison Arrow (Elite)
Troll Unguent/Healing spring
Penetrating Attack
Deliberating Shot/Distracting Shot
Kindle Arrows
Armour of Earth (great when I need my res signet to go, or warriors are attempting to kill me.. warriors who only do 5 damage per normal attack are funny..)
Obsidian Flame
Resurrection Signet

PvE

Poison Arrow (Elite)
Troll Unguent
Penetrating Attack/Distracting Shot (once again, based on what you think is needed)
Dual Shot
Ignite Arrows
Armour of Earth
Obsidian Flame
Resurrection Signet/Strom Chaser (depending on mission and what you are doing)

Equipment

Full Druids set (+7 energy, 70 Al, +30 Al vs. elemental attacks)
Hunters Mask (+1 expertise, 70 Al, +30 Al vs. elemental attacks)
Sundering Flatbow of Fortitude (preferably with some nice modifiers on it, i.e. + X% while health is above 50%)

Runes:

Major Expertise
Minor/Major/Superior Vigour
Minor Wilderness Survival
Minor Marksmanship

the general focus of the build, at least PvP-wise it to provide supporting damage, complete with mana draining, and then finish a finisher move (Obsidian Flame) when you work in tandem with a W/Mo or Air elementals.. or any class capable of laying some form of pain onto your opponent... it’s nasty. great fun can be had with opponents who try to run after nearly being killed by Obsidian... to bad about the poison eh? I have noticed that it lacks real pure killing power - not that I think this is a bad thing, as this ranger plays a support damag/resser (in emergencies) perfectly from what vie found. nice being able to out tank a warrior isn’t it?

Give Reeze Asunder/Reeze Shard a yell if you want to talk to me in Game

I personaly would use barrage for both pvp and pve and replace poison arrow with apply poison. Kindle arrows is good with duel shot as well as many other attacks are good with duel arrows, so i sometimes throw that in and out.

kindle+poison arrow stack, apply poison doesn't.

Aye, and this build is a bit more pvp orinated. Posion arrow is still, imho, an awsoem skill unless theres undead or things immune to it (so i tend to carrys marks wager and earhtquake instead of Posion arrow and Obsidian flame)

but any other coments/suggestiosn for my build?
