Is it just me that is glad the truly sorrowful scene of characters standing for HOURS in support-group-like circles dancing, air guitaring and attempting to be sexy with cartoon-pitiful thrusts and gyrations has finally ended.

I prefer /sit... my necro character looks cool sitting, especially now that I have a cape.

Why not? If I see someone dancing I'll dance next to them.

I saw two monks who were the exact same color/dress/height/everything dancing on top of each other and it gave this nifty matrix slow-down effect where everything was doubled.

Was pretty cool.

But yah I do dance next to people if they're already dancing.
Same reason why if I see someone randomly just standing there with a bowed head I'll run up and stand next to them and bow my head.

If I'm not busy, or going AFK, why not?

I still dance around in my underwear. And I do it in the game, too.

Have those days really ended, or have you simply stopped fixating on such behavior?

I'm glad that the stupid orgies have become fewer in number, but I still dance whenever I'm trying to find a part. I've gotten quite good at syncing my dance with other Rangers, now I just need to master this for my (f) Necromancer.

I don't mind the dancing.
What I do mind is some smart a**ed character humping my toon's leg.
Last night I was checking my inventory when all of a sudden My leg is being assualted by sonmwe idiot.

I quickly did a GO AWAY! in all speak.
the idiot apparently didn't get the message but he sure did understand when my all speak read
"I CAN FILE A HARASSMENT TICKET IF YOU'D LIKE"
That did the trick.
Like I say I don't mind the dancing - I do it myself - just don't step on my feet.

You threatened to file a "harassment ticket", and the idiot actually believed you? How could you prove that you weren't the one who positioned yourself to make his dance look naughty?

/afk actually makes your character sit down (just like /sit).. pretty cool that it's in there, although it does make me wish there was a slight difference in the animation/pose.. (or at least a tell in the emote channel like "Tashen Boke has gone afk")

Otherwise it's confusing.. I mean, there's little doubt as to what's going on when you're in a mission and someone suddenly sits down and becomes unresponsive, but I've done an /afk in-town and returned to discover that people were standing there talking to me

*shrugs* no biggie, just one of those things...

Now I see why so many companies don't directly support the communities for their games. You get whiney people like you who use it as leverage to get whatever they want. It's a game, it's funny and if it bothers you that much, get up and move or go to another district.

It is possible to move, or you know...be polite?

I do this sometimes, because quite often the reactions are funny..especially when you find someone who actually has a sense of humour.

I'm glad the impromptu dancing parties are still going on. I joined one for the first time this afternoon in the Temple of Ages. It was more fun than I thought it would be. It is pretty challenging to position and sync your dance with another character.

---------
As far as going to another district.
WHY?
They approached me. Why should I be forced into moving?
As far as I'm concerned they were the offending parties.
Maybe you haven't learned that bad behavior shouldn't be rewarded.

Where in my note did I state that I popped up in the middle of a dance party?
There was no organized (or unorganized) dancing going on at the time.

I generally don't pay any attention to the antics of others. Had I popped up in the middle of a dance party I would have moved away so as not to interupt the shing-dig.
However, in this case ther was no party. Juut a couple a***hats showing everyone how grown-up they were.

____
You threatened to file a "harassment ticket", and the idiot actually believed you? How could you prove that you weren't the one who positioned yourself to make his dance look naughty?
-------
Yeah sure I ran up to this toon and leaned against him, and stood real still just so I could say GO AWAY.
Besides it worked. they left to bother someone else and I went about my business.
--------
It is possible to move, or you know...be polite?
-------------
And just how polite were they to impose on me wihout my consent?
Neither one bother to ask.
Besides I did move several steps away. The second followed me.

I don't have anything against toons dancing or groups having dance parties. As far as I'm concerned have all of them you want. I can join in -if invited - or ignore them whenever I want.

I said Go Away and then moved my toon away from that spot. The second followed me.I suppose you could technically call that stalking.

The first GO AWAY should have been sufficient to indicate that I didn't want to play.
Had I wanted to I could have accepted the unspoken invitation and joined in.
However I didn't appreciate this intrusion.

Party all you want but only with those that want to party.

You should move because, generally, people have a sense of humor (or, if they don't, just ignore it), and if you want to get all melodramatic, leave.
