Item Attributes(grips/hafts) help

Was wondering what happens if you have a axe that does Ice damage and plus 15% damage (enchanted) If i put in a Zealous Haft will it take out the Ice damage? A site told me "Axes can have up to three different modifiers in addition to the damage they automatically deal." So thats (hafts, grips, and additional modifiers) But would ice damage be considered damage they automatically deal?

You curently have a Icy axe.

The icy is a haft so if you try to put a zealous one, yes you will loose the ice damage.
