a bit more on banning of names and the guidelines

Just in case the first tow or three times this thread was closed weren't a big enough clue let me clearly state that this forum is not the place to discuss whether or not a specific name should or shouldn't be banned by ArenaNet. If you want to talk about that, feel free to send ArenaNet an e-mail. You won't get anywhere but that's because when they ban a name it's for a reason and they don't care about what you have to say about it. And you can rest assured that we don't appreciate that sort of whining or in-depth semantic discussion of just what is and what isn't offensive any more than they do. So forget it. We don't want it here and they don't care. Tough luck, life's not fair, start another character.

Also, let me state that when a thread is closed or a post deleted, we do it for a reason and that's because we want that conversational avenue to come to an abrupt end. When a thread gets closed that's not an invitation to start a new one about the exact same thing. Complain about it to the mods, talk about it in private, but you are not allowed under any circumstance to repost or restart things like that. And, should I see another thread of this sort I'm not going to stop at locking it. I'm going to ban everyone and anyone who's posted in it. Permanently.
