Ok...so I run a E/Me, and I buy every skill that I come upon, instead of choosing which to buy, since I thought that's what were supposed to do. Now I'm at Droknar's at lvl20 and I am completely out of skill points, and lvling is very slow. What can I do to get more skill points?

immortal, if im not mistaken, i thought that once your level 20. The character would still level up and get you more skill points.

You are correct. But I'm lvling slower and slower. Soon it will take forever to get a skill point

Go to UW/Fissure in Temple of Ages. Quests there give 10k exp. (Of course your world needs favor first.)

O ok thanks for the xp tips. Question, was it wrong to buy every skill? Since I only used inspiration, would it have benefit me to only buy insp skills and not unlock the others?

i don't think you can buy every skills. Because some boss monsters have elite skills which can be capture by use the signet.

Heh... there are still missions after droknars, the Iron Mines and that, which also give skill points upon completion. Keep going, you'll get them.

I generally try not to buy any skills unless I'm sure I need it and it's not available for free through a quest.

True, but you shouldn't say anything that could remotely be promoting elite hunting

Haha...guess I should be more frugal with these skill points.

I think there's only 1 or 2 more places you can buy skills at after Droknar's Forge anyway, so don't sweat it too much. You may have to work for the last 5-10 skills or something to buy, and after Droknar's Forge theres more than 5 missions anyway which each give a skill point (not to mention bonus which gives another). If you've bought EVERY skill up to this point then you're probably doing pretty good.

Then you just have to worry about getting Capture skills to go and get your elites and whatnot. You may or may not have made it a little hard on yourself by buying skills that were probably rewards from quests but I doubt there's anyway to screw yourself completely.

Yeah i didnt even think about skill points until recently. I had 46 of them, so I went around to skill trainers and I have most of the skill they are selling.

So it seems to me like there are plenty of skill points to go around.

I'm in a somewhat similar position with my W/E, except that I've only wasted two skill points on skills that could be unlocked through a quest. (And that, I believe, was due to a bug where the quest giver didn't show me the quest until after I'd already purchased the reward.) I'm still missing about 6 normal skills, plus another ~23 elite skills, with only three missions left to do, and I'm not really looking forward to grinding for 26 levels just to finish off this character...

On a similar note: If you switch secondary classes, do you have to acquire skills from your secondary class by purchasing them or can you possibly re-do all those skill quests listed here, even if you did those quests with your original secondary?

I generally read up and think some about a perticular role i want to fulfill through a template and then start. Any skills which dont fit in or are weaker than the ones i'll be getting a few town down the road are ignored. Which includes most skills for my profs.

I have two ascended characters and on each of them i've bought no more than the 8 skills i had decided upon before i chose that template with pleanty of SP left over for if and when i decide to change my role and get the skills i want for it.

Generally it's good to chalk up primary role --> essential skills and then start grinding that template. Just pally advice.

Since you can gain about half of the skills by means of questing, I'd advise that if you start a new character, do not buy new skills unless you find it absolutely neccesary. There are countless resources out there that can be found in one of the sections in this fourm that can help you find what you need. Next time you get to droknars try to have atleast 10 points or 10 signet of captures to spend on elites.
