Does ArenaNet offer refunds?
candle
I bought Guild Wars from EBGames but they declared this game cannot be refunded because of the cd key. Does anyone know if the game can be refunded directly from ArenaNet or NCSoft?

Got purchased the game, registered it in your name... using your CD key, the game is yours now and forever.

You could sell the game to someone else, although then again, I'm not really sure what the law states about that either...

If you have not removed the scratch off area on the CD key and not damaged the product in any other way then your within your statuary rights to return the product.
PS: EULAs are really wishy washy...
Note: There is also an interesting point in the fact that you can NOT agree to the EULA and thus not install the software. Since you cannot read the EULA without taking some steps (Opening any seal on the wrapper) then you are within your rights to return a product to the producer if you do not agree to the EULA. (In the case of GW, the key code is asked for after the EULA so there is no need to scratch the panel off until after you agree to the EULA. Thus, if you have then your return will more than likely be void).

I have installed the game and set up an account. I want to find out if refund is an option at this point in time.
I bought the game only three days ago. Guess I miss EBGames' usual 7-day money back guarantee.

Best thing to do is e-mail A.Net support and ask them. But I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Setup a "trash" free email on hotmail. Transfer the account to that email. Auction off the game on eBay. That's your best hope I'm afraid.
