if you are a monk, you obviously experienced the lack of decent monk rods in drops and people selling them
all you see getting sold are swords/bows/axes/hammers/fire-storm wands
the only time you mention someone say monk rod is if they WTB
with max swords becoming a dime a dozen, why cant they put more more rods in the game?
Arena Net needs to insert more monk rods!

I agree, as a Monk myself it took me ages to come across a Max Damage Staff, the energy on it wasn't anything special though.
I need a Max Damage Rod so that I can use one of my better Healing Ankhs, come on Anet, be nice to us Monks.

The collectors will satisfy -all- monk rod needs... From Smiters to Healers. A Draknor collector has a smiting one, and someone in the crystal desert has a nice one for healing - beyond that though, i've yet to encounter any gold monk drops in Fissure or anything.

yea the collector in augery rock has a staf 12+ energy, 11-22 damge, 20/20 for divine or healing i forgot i think the easies collectors are

erm... some monster tends to usualy drop one certain kind of weapon. So if you want monk rod and staff i highly suggest you to go hunt griffon north of camp rankor, i usualy find 3-4 monk rod/staff in a hunt here.

There isn't any rod that requires healing or protection prayers only divine and smiting, so come on add some rods that req healing or protection. I'm wanting one of those desperately.

Max damage, max stat Monk weapons are listed in these two links. I'm not sure which are 20% and which are +15/-1, but you can always use trial and error.

Well, I did find a nice little staff for myself, but I've got a good healing ankh and I'd rather go with rod + ene + ankh than the staff.
So, what would this staff sell for (roughly, of course)?
Gold Insightful Accursed Staff of Fortitude
+10 energy
11-21 dark dmg
Quick recovery from disease
+5 energy and +28 health upgrades
Sadly, requires 12 curses.
And for the rods, you can't put Staff upgrades on rods, can you?

There is a max collector staff with 20/20 divine skills. However...how many divine skills does a monk use...I'm pretty sure Elemental staffs come in each elemental attribute with 20/20. Is there one with 20/20 healing or 20/20 protection?

nope. rods come as you see them. Only bad part about them. But them being 1 handed lets u have a second hand item. staffs, bows, swords,hammers,axes i belive are the only upgradable things
