The new map

last night i was bored and i thought that i could draw my verious of the next add on map
i have put little spray dots on certen areas so i can tell ya whatt it is.

GREEN-in this bit its like massive greenlands that goings on for miles and u ride horses or griffens to explor it.

BROWN- this was a good idea i thought its a massive bridge that joins to islands theres shops join on it and theres 2 small little islands which have 2 towers which are well i dnt know i just put em ther lol.

GREY-i thought mabie an undead world here with loads of undead and eveil mages and mesmars and necros here which would be cool.

DARK YELLOW- i thought this could open up a whole bit of the game by using ur own ships to explore un clamied islands and fight monsters on it and check for villages.

RED-this bit i thought would be amazing i thought a "Fire mountain" which would be like the other mountain but would be firery.

i no my drawing is crap but its the best i could do just now tell me what ya think

pretty cool i could re-do it in paint then make a 3-d rendition* of it in my cgi program thing

*dont actualy know wat rendition means lol

yeh u can do it if ya want it was just a ruff sketch and i modded it on paint :P

Green: There is no horses or gryphons, this is Guild Wars, not World of Warcraft

Yellow: The scripting to have player-controlled boats to get places would be hell, and it would be essentially what ArenaNet is trying to prevent: wastes of time.

Red: We already have this. It's called the Ring of Fire. Try finishing the game before you say what it needs.

Flame is right... you're suggesting things that are far more than just new areas.

Big kudos for creativity, all creation is good. Keep going, possibly with the same map, or revise it to make a better one. I recommend using pencil or pen though since you have more control over your hand than you do a mouse.

I like it, especially the two black towers. Maybe you can put an eye on them and call them like... Saurid's eye. The green might also mean orcs and the black are the undead. The gold are a spectacular race of treehugging magic blessed humans that are fighting the evil Saurid and it's minons. Red and dark gold could've been the once glorious empires that now must join forces and defend Heralds Deep in the mountains to the south.

See how creative i can be when i'm given good ideas? (:P). Keep up the good work.

On the note... about the green areas.

This game doesn't require mounts, so why do people keep bringing them up? Does Instatravel mean nothing to you guys?

I could add that the game doesn't require sky, emotes, dyes, individual plants and rocks (since there's no collision detection on them anyway), non-interactive NPCs, dwarven ale, etc. etc. etc.

Just because it's not needed doesn't mean it's useless. Just like all the unnecessary things I just mentioned, it would add greatly to the feel of the game. I think mounts would make an excellent end game reward. (sorry for hijacking topic)

Back on topic... don't let them get you down about your creativity or lack thereof... just keep going.

Yes! Let's have realms that represent each of the four old-school elements in a terribly-cliched manner, like every other fantasy game since the dawn of time.

The only reason I would ever want to see boats added to GW is so that I could say the words "increase to ramming speed!" My life would then be complete.

I want to make someone walk me plank. I'd also like to board another vessel for some pirate booty. Y'arrrgh.
