People should stop all this garbage that WoW is so much better than GW. WoW has been out for over a year, and Gw for almost 3 months. GW will be as good, if not better than WoW is now in a year. Also, post your sugestions here if you wish. I think it would be cool if there was an auction house kind of place in GW. I might be going against what i just said, but it would be cool...

Quit comparing them, bringing up comparisons, etc.

BTW, suggestions go in the Suggestion Forum (/doh)

They are two different games. Its possible to enjoy more than one game at a time ya know. Of course people who have the maturity of adolescents will never realise this.

BUT comparisions will happen, fanboys exist, nothing you can do, whining that you want people to stop is just another whine, and in the end, achieves nothing.

Much like my post.

I wish more people from the other game I'm following felt the same way; my guild would be a lot bigger. No, the majority just has to play WoW or go back to CoH.

I never played WoW. Considered it, but I couldn't get a copy when I was interested and later didn't feel like getting the game. I've been enjoying GW pretty much though.

I'm tired of it myself, WoW and GW have NOTHING in common other than parts of the old BNet team working with ANet I believe...

But comparing to D2, WoW, etc, is getting really old, different games, different redeeming qualities, DIFFERENT=UNIQUE, why does it seem like some want GW to be the same as so many other darn games out there? -_-; Oy... If they want those games, go play those games, don't compare or try to turn GW into something it is not.

As a side note, GW has been out for roughly 1.5 months, not 3

Only reason I won't play WoW is because of the company. Maybe WoW is great, maybe its a piece of trash, but I won't play it because I felt Blizzard was awful in the support category. Had it not been for that, I might have tried it. I just think its completely absurd that there are idiots out there that trash a game that they've never played.

Me, I wont play it because it's ugly.

If I wanted retro console graphics I'd get a Nintendo.

I'm a casual player. I've played WoW and left it for Gw.

Honestly i like GW best. Maybe it's because i'm a casual player that both likes PvE and PvP:
- For a casual player in WoW it takes many months to reach level 60. In there, being level 60 is pretty much a requirement for PvP (since the difference of abilities between a lvl 50 and a lvl 60 is so enormous that it's almost impossible for the lower level one to take down the lvl 60 one). In Gw i've been PvPing (starting with Ascalon arena) already in the first week of playing Gw.
- In Gw i've also made and tried out several different attributes/skills/profession combinations with PvP only characters, my only problem being that the current skill unlocking mechanism has limited my flexibility in making PvP characters (do u hear me Anet? ). Trying that in WoW means going through the grind of creating a new character - again, for a casual player that's several months per character.
- No pressure whatsoever in Gw to play in order to become/achieve whatever. I play when i feel like - it actually took me 2 more weeks than needed to complete all the PvE missions simply 'cause i felt like going exploring or PvPing instead of doing the missions. In WoW i HAD to play to level up (eventually becoming a grinding job) in order to get to lvl 60 ASAP so as not to be constantly killed by higher level chars (something that became very common after they introduced the [dis]honor points system)

Only problems i have currently with Gw are the lack of PvE end-game content (even I, a casual player, did eventually got to the end a week ago), the whole need to grind to unlock skills/runes/items for PvP thing and the lack of a feeling of reward when going out exploring at the later levels (for example i NEVER had a superior rune drop for me).

O yeah, that and the fact that most PvP-template-only players out there are total noobs (one instantly notices the reduction in quality of one's PUG team when changing from the Yak's Bend arena to the Lion's Arch one).

---

Anyways, i can understand that the lack of PvE end game content problem might be a big deal for hardcore gamers, since they've reached that point sooner and probably many of them already come from other MMORPGs used to grind for loot after seing and doing all that there is to see/do.

For those WoW is probably beter ... at least for a while.
