Our representation in Guild Wars seems to be small and we play on the American servers.
How do you find your Guild Wars playing experience?

I'm an Australian playing on the American servers and haven't seen many other aussies in game. I think the guild that I'm in is predominantly American since I don't see most of the other guildmates online at the same time. I guess the only reason I joined it was because my mate (who is also Australian) was already a member.
Are there many Australian only guilds out there? It would make finding a good group for PvP much easier.

I am. I know a bunch of people who play, all from real life. I was pretty disappointed with the collectors edition only being released overseas, but hey, thats what we get for living in the horrid place I guess. I think there's quite a few Australians who do play, theres a thread somewhere else asking about Australian guilds and such. Currently my guild is only allowing people from our real life group in, but that'll probably change eventually.

I'm a Kiwi (It's not so far away =)), and I have to say that I was surprised at the amount of Austalian/Kiwi players I met on GW. I expected people to drop their jaw when they found out I lived down under, but most of them seem to live here too.

Horrid place? You have got to be joking, we have one of the best places to live in the entire world and you call it horrid because you cant get the collectors edition.... Maybe you should get out there and see how "horrid" the real world can be before making such a comment.
I'm from Australia too (if that isn't obvious), the guild I run with are all from Australia as well, mostly gamers who have known each other for a while and came together to play GW pve and sometimes pvp. I think in the month + I have played I have seen only a few other Australian players which is a bit disapointing - mostly small guilds of friends and such.

I would rather like GW to set up some servers in australia, becuase of the lag we get its hard to play a disrupting mesmer or disrupting archer......
but meh who cares, australia is the best country in the world, even though we are run by an old bag, and have a total tard for a priminister, the rest of us are cool ^^

Wow, calm down. I don't call it horrid because i can't get a collectors edition, though I would like it if Australia had more access to things like that without having to internet order, I just can't stand the weather and the dryness here. It's not my thing. I quite like the other parts of the world I've visited though, and find them much more appealing places to live and the people way nicer (and far more easy going...less likely to get so offended by offhand comments) so I intend to move once my degree is finished. Don't take things so seriously, Australia has a lot of beauty but its just not the kind I like.

Yup Australian here too, and also from Brisbane. I have actually found that there seems to be quite a few australians playing during our peak times. I didnt bother to change the region on my account, so I am still playing on the european servers. It could be that there just aren't many australians who switched to the American servers or ordered american copies of the game.
And Lalii, I completely agree...in fact I am leaving in two weeks to start anew in scandanavia. Australia is indeed a beautiful and fortunate country, but the mindset of the majority of people living here just isnt for me.

There's plenty of Aussies and Kiwis playing Guild Wars. We're really pleased with how well the game has gone over there. Especially me, being an ex-pat Aussie.

/me from western australia, the fine city of perth. I dont mind being so far away, only cause I got quick net.
When I booted up Guild Wars for the first time I was in the european servers and everyone was dutch, or speaking dutch. So i changed over to the american servers, best thing I could have done. I have found a fantastic, lively loving guild and I really feel at home. I have met a few aussies here and there about the game, but its nice to see that everyone around loves aussies! We are quite welcome, as we should be, we are a nice bunch of people!
Guild Wars is great and australia will be great right back to it.
