Armor question
Casonetto
I am starting a new necromancer to replace my old one and I want to know if the new one can wear the same suit of bonelace. I really don't want to dish out for a new suit. Can this be done? Thanks.

Oh well.
Immortal Flame
Hm..what if you put it into storage, deleted your old char and made a new one with the exact name?
Casonetto
Too late, already have a new character.
Okay, I have to ask. The character I wanted to strip and put into storage was a Ne/Me and I heard later that Ne/Me was a bad combo. So I made a new one, a Ne/Mo that I like alot better. To sell all the stuff the first necro had would be to take a financial bath and lose a ton of gold. Is it worth getting the better character and losing over a platinum piece or saving the money and waiting till level 20 for a character I don't want? Unless someone wants to spot me a plat I don't know what I should do.

Who told you that N/Me is a bad combo? I would stick with it, unless you personally don't like playing that combo.
Casonetto
I read it in one of the threads, don't remember which one.
Seth Oriath
Never believe what you read in threads, not just here but anywhere else. Play what you like to play. Experiment. That's why the pre-searing secondary profession quest lets you do all of them, so you can see which one you like as a secondary. If you don't like your primary, delete your character, name a new character the same name, and try another one.
If I believed everything I read on this and other forums, I wouldn't be a ranger (which they don't suck. Try healing -14 health degen. Not easy, eh?) It's all about figuring out how you play, not how everyone else plays. I couldn't play a necro for the life of me; there's just too much micromanagement for me to handle. Same for a monk. They're not bad classes, though; they just don't fit my playstyle.

Well I actually liked the new one more, which is the only reason I asked. I will delete the new one (level 5 right now) and remake him with the first one's name. You sure it will work?
Immortal Flame
Seth makes a good point. Im not sure about the armor switching thing though. Just try it...believe me money won't be a problem once you get farther into the game.
Casonetto
Alright, I chose to reconcile my differences with the original Necromancer and decided to keep him. What attributes should I use with Ne/Me to make it the best Necro he can be?
Immortal Flame
I have a N/Me guildmate and he enjoys it. I'll ask him and get back to you.

Customization isn't done by name. It's done by some invisible serial number or the like. Once you delete a character, anything customized to that character is only worth selling to the merchants or salvaging.

I remember, 2 people in the Necromancer Basics thread said that Ne/Me was a bad combination. I haven't gotten incredibly far with him but it seems ok. Right now I have points into blood, curses, soul reaping and illusion. Are there better choices for me?
Moskel
N/Me is a difficult but good combo (especially if you plan on PvP). You can focus on degeneration very well: Rotting Flesh, Conjure Phantasm, Phantom Pain, Life Siphon, Life Transfer, Malaise, etc.
You can switch to interrupt casters/kill them with Backfire, Power Spike, Energy Burn, etc and since you have access to Soul Reaping you don't need to worry about Inspiration skills to get energy back. You can also use Blood Magic for healing, so 12 Domination, 10 Blood Magic, 8 Soul Reaping (as long term example).
Any class combo is viable, you have 150 skills of which you're going to pick 8, you have 6+ attributes of which you're probably going to put points into 2-4 of them, there are a lot of potential combinations that work very well in each Pri/Sec setup.

Thanks!

I will tell you that everwhere I read, they say that the n/me is the most offensive char in the game. Look at the Prima guid. I totally agree. How can it get more offensive than helth degen of 5 plus degen of 3 plus degen of 7 and at the same time your getting health regen of 10? plus empathy, so they take dmg if they attack...maybe some backfire and drop a few wells of blood... pwnd. =p
