Went out solo next time and got a drop for every single creature I killed.

Try an area solo and you'll rake it in. Party with a group of henchmen or other players and run the same area, and your drops get severely cut. Simple math. The larger the party, whether partly computer-controlled or not, the less your cut. In my experience, this is the way it has worked both pre- or post-patch.
No, it's gotten worse, imo. You don't venture out into the desert by yourself, unless you're some supremely optimised smiter build. So when I said that I'd get a backpack full of stuff, that was WITH 5 henchies.
However, I get a lot LESS with 5 henchies now. And it still doesn't explain the issue of all the drops completely stopping.

Hoping today's patch is going to either up the drop again, or at least introduce SOME WAY of getting decent loot.

I do.

If that's the case, then it seems the patch may have made things a bit more fair, imho. You think you deserve the same amount of drop with a party full of henches as a person who goes solo? To reiterate, henchmen take the place of real players, and as such, get a cut of all drops just like everyone else. You just don't get the pleasure of seeing the henches items drop and get picked up.

I can't comment on this as it has yet to happen to me. If I'm out with henchmen and the mobs don't visibly drop anything, that drop was meant for a henchman. I've never been out with a full party of real players and not seen any creature drop at least one item.

This is my own personal experience with the game, however. Your mileage may vary.

No, you're still not getting what I'm saying.

Pre-patch, I would get the same amount of loot whether I'd go with players or with henchies. Henchies have ALWAYS taken loot, ever since day 1 of release. I have no problem with this at all.

Post-patch, I'd get approximately 5 times less loot with henchies, and the loot that I DO find is worthless. I'm talking killing lvl21 critters in the desert, and they drop a white 10-19 wand, or 69 gold. One out of every 8 or so.
Killing bosses has become pointless since the patch, since not a single one has yet dropped an item for me. It's possible that sheer luck of the draw has had all the boss items going to henchies, I suppose, but that's quite a long draw.

I didn't solo before the patch, actually. It's only recently that, because I'm fed up with playing my level 20 character and not seeing a single decent thing drop, I've created a new character W/Mo, and have begun solo'ing with him, just as something else to do.

So I'm NOT expecting playing with henchies to give me the same amount of loot as playing solo. Not at all. I have no problems with henchies claiming loot (although it would be nice if somehow you could barter with them, but that's outside the scope of this discussion).
I have a problem with the drops sucking terribly and being far less in quantity since the patch.

I hope that explains it more clearly.
