Hello everyone. I just joined the forums and this is my first thread. I am really excited about guild wars. I previously played Ultima Online for a few years and am eagerly looking forward to this game, and am ready to play on the preview weekend from 4/15 to 4/17.
My question is (and has probablly already been asked):
For those of you that have been playing the game when the test server was up, what sort of system performance did you see with your computer? How were your load times, and in game FPS?
My rig is as follows:
P4 2.8ghz 533FSB
1024mb pc2700 (single mode)
Radeon 9800pro 128mb from ATI
60gig WD 7200rpm
I feel I am pretty current but depending on if the game is well coded, I'm sure I could be suprised, as we all have been before.
In short, how does it run for ya, and am I set?
Thanks for the replies in advance, and hope to see you in the game!

you should be able to run it at max settings just fine imo. i can run GW on an Athlon 64 3200 / Ati 9600 lappy really smooth.

I agree, you look good. My system is:
Athlon XP 3200+
Radeon 9800Pro 128MB
1024 MB DualChannel PC3200 Patriot Extreme Performance RAM
200GB Seagate SATA 7200RPM Hard Drive
Our systems are close enough to make a comparison, last BWE, I had my settings maxed out and Refresh Rate set at 85Hz and was getting a 50-55 constant fps

You'll be fine. AS long as you have 512 RAM (SD and DD), 2.0GHz processor, and a recent Video Card, you'll be fine.

You're system is almost exactly the same as my system except that you have 2x the memory as me and you have a 2.8 ghz intel, while I have AMD 2800. I run with all settings at max, with a less powerful computer, so I'm pretty sure you can.
