Got this very gold item tonight from one of the bosses in thunderheadkeep..

says gives party triple experience for as long as they keep killing monsters before 30seconds runout , one time use but can last helluva long time if on the right mission with a killer party.. underworld/fissure?

Does anyone know how much it would be worth in the market (Honestly?) the Scroll trader in anmoon (only one ive found) doesnt sell anything...

oh perhaps the "Scrolls of Insight" Forum here needs to have a name change as there are actual Scrolls of Insight in the game now?,
i did search on this before i posted , so.. am i also like the first person to get one?

The one thing I don't understand with regards to the scroll trader is that he NEEDS scrolls in order to be able to sell something, but who in their right mind is going to SELL scrolls that give you extra xp??

Somehow I have this nagging feeling that the scroll trader is going to be empty for a long time..

Depending on how much he buys them for, people will sell them in an attempt to make massive amounts of gold.

well ive spent the last 6 or so hours trying to sell this thing , have been offered 100k+ in items actually 1 guy offered 7 Very darn nice rare max dmg items , but i need cash or stuff i can use...
quite frankly im happy ive finally got (my drop) 1mth & im still sitting on 10p..

best cash offer so far was 40k, seems that no one else has it , i havent yet seen someone else selling or any in the trader..

i will divulge which boss gave me mine for 10k ;p & untill i find out what this is worth , i wont let go for less then 100k.

seems like Anet found a way to seperate some of those ppl from there 750k hourdes...

You know it people like you selling things at 100K plus, which is making everything so damn expensive

people like me ? lol most ive ever had at one time is 18k , which promptly turned into my new armor at droknars.. & ive been playing a month , clocked well over 300hours & nearly 250k exp ..
its ppl like you that end up offering 100g then running off & selling for 100plat & pming stupid insults at how much a sucker i am ... lol

no from what i gathered in the market today theyve made a "Money Sink" for those ppl with maxxed out accs.. Quite a refreshment imo, im sure ill be buying these when i can afford them a lil better ^_^ .. i currently have 5,376g .. today has just been very lucky for me. I just have to wait till the "informed majority with large bankaccounts & lacking skills & exp on some chars" figure out just how valuable these are :P

Got one of those today. Price scroll-trader would pay: 16gp. Value quoted on item on mouse-over: 60gp. Am I going to sell it to trader for that price? Not a chance.

It's still on my character, waiting for proper chance to use it.

I hate to say it, but I think it would take a pretty desperate/silly person to pay 100p for it. They have just been put into the game, and already a few are popping up. What, in reality, does it do for you? It can turn your 30sec into 1:30sec worth of exp. Nice? Yes. Worth 100 plat? I dunno. Anyone with much of a clue will wait to try and figure out how frequently they drop, and then how many there are out there. Probably a lot of people will be willing to trade them for items at this point too. The economy is still in a state of flux, and with every wednesday gold trends change. I am not so sure that the people sitting on a mountain of plat will be too quick to trade it for something of an unknown value with constant changes to farming.

However, who knows, maybe it will happen. The one thing about this item, though, that makes it similar to other items that have skyrocketed in cost, is that it is consumable. So, who knows what will happen with it.

Another thing. This isn't a "money sink". A money sink takes money out of the economy. This effectively takes more items out of the economy while leaving all the money in (until the trader does a large majority of the selling and buying). We currently have plenty of item sinks, customizing, dyes, salvaging, trying to re-salvage runes, but no real money sinks.

Not to be rude, buddy, but these scrolls are NOT a money sink. It doesn't matter to the economy if one player has 500 plat and the other has 5, or if the division is 400 / 105. That money is still IN the economy.
A money sink DESTROYS money. Takes it OUT of the economy, to keep things from getting out of whack.
Anet had a minor good one with the Dwarven Ale, which they've now ruined by making them 1 plat, but they need to create FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR more money sinks to get this economy back into balance.

i can see your points guyz , but cant help but feel these are the new "sigils"/incentive as some put it that "drive the economy" . i could be wrong heck ive never been really good at playing market in games , i just thought id been lucky to of gotten the first few of these drops & well am hoping to make good use of them,

Used in the most efficient way with an profficient party these , as when spending coins for underworld & fissure & such , I can only imagine the type of exp you can pull, let alone the huge amount of "rushers" ingame..

Perhaps i used the wrong term money sink.. money coriander? ... Money Sink would be hairdressers & appearance , perhaps if some1 opens thier mouth theyll start charging warpfees to zoom to each place(wooops ) anywhoo We shall see , as ive said to many ingame, untill i find out theyre true worth , wether 1p or100p i wont let go of it less then 100p , well maybe to a friend but u know , id rather use it for anyless then 50 personally & i wouldnt buy them as cant afford but there are alot that very well can., Can i compare these things to sigils at all? pls b constructive ..

I purchased the scrolls of insight that doubles the parties EXP for 10 minutes. Seems I was racing the others to grab them. They sold for around 2 plat. As fast as they appeared, they disappeared just as fast. Click, click click. But i managed 2. There is an NPC trader (all names start with Magi). One in Lion's Arch, Henge of Denravi, and Amnoon Oasis.

Be fast you might get lucky. He had one show up every few minutes.

Well, if the double are going for 2 plat at the trader, I guess you should get more than I thought for yours.

I understand what you are hoping for, I wasn't attempting to villainize you.
