Yes, they do owe us so much. We're their customers and their product's users. NCsoft has a duty to provide its customers the best experience possible as intended by the product's design. Don't think of product maintenance and the lack of a monthly fee as "favors". Those are not favors. The former, like customer service, is necessary for the success of a software product. The latter is an attribute of non-persistent online games which require less bandwidth and less server-side CPU usage.
