The build:
Good pve character, but also a very good asset/strength in pvp.
Ideas:
I was thinking of two possibilities:
Anti-Support(not just anti-caster): The role would include the ability to not just take out a support character from the scene(more like hamper than kill, but kill is good as well). Support that It would be able to counter could include: mages, mesmers, monks, other necro's.
Diverter: ability to stay alive(major), allows nukers to focus on targets and melee to occupy one on one scenario's while giving support if possible. Needs to be able to create a large initial burst of damage to grab attention from 1-3 enemies.
Obviously as a diverter you will most likely die more than alot of classes, just by nature and the high risk if you screw up, but if you can master it, then this combo would just be absolutely lethal.
possible combo's:
Necro/elementalist: energy conservation, wards, damage spells
Necro/Mesmer: energy steals, DOT, great line of cripling spells
Necro/warrior:decent dmg, health regen++, can stay alive, not all spell based
The N/W seems like it has great potential for being a 'diverter', but will run into huge energy problems. The N/E will also possibly run into energy issues, but much less, and can deal much more damage, BUT, much lower armor.
So, the combo isn't set yet, but these are what I see as possible builds for these two types, especially the diverter.
Main spell types for this build to look at as a necro main that I've thought of are:
life siphon
life transfer
dark pact
shadow strike
well of power/
well of blood
other possibilities that I saw were:
blood renewal + demonic flesh(can get you a really high hp pip rate along with life siphon or transfer)
mark of subversion
well of profane
deathly swarm(?)
these were the main(necromancer) spells that came to mind that would be very useful to use as a diverter. However, it is very skill based, and can be hampered badly by some anti-skill spells.
I have not looked deeply into the subjob possible spells. So far all I though of were possbily - war: heal signet, wary stance, shield stance, elementalist: possibly a few wards, energy conservation, damage spells, and for mesmer: energy steal spells(for either health or hp), and some anti-caster spells like backfire and such.
So that's where I'm at, sorry it's a bit long, but I want to make this build successful. I think that making a class like a diverter part of a team in pvp would be awesome, or even an anti-support that's not focused on being a mesmer.
