Elementalist Attunements?

Hi, I've got a question reguarding the attunement for elementlist. Last night I've been testing Air Attunement and Air Magics. The description say I get 30% of the engery whenever i use Air Magic skill, I cast Air Attunement then use Lightning Strike which uses 5 enegry and I'd expect it to use less energy but it uses 5 energy so I was like what on earth is going on then I try Lightning Orb which uses 15 energy because I thought anything that requires 5 energy the 30% lesser enegy use won't have effect. But lightning orb still uses 15 energy. I won't say for sure this is bugged like newbie would say. I'd like some clarification on this because I'm seriously puzzled that why its not reducing the energy cost.

It says you get the mana back, not that it reduces the mana costs. I haven't used any but think about it that way.

what happens with this skill is that when you cast a spell at full cost you get 30% of the casting cost back after you cast it.. you do not save on the casting cost up front when you click the button

Ether Renewal is the same way. You've got to be able to pay for the initial use, and then you get your energy afterwards. Think of it as a rebate.
