Another annoying question.

Ok i was just wondering what a very good DPS combo is. I would think Rang/Ele considering rangers seem to be a very stronge dps class, same goes for Ele. I've played EQ for good 6 years, EQ2 (horrible game), and WoW (ok game), and i'm hoping GW brings a much needed different feel. Dont know just asking opinions. Also how well can Rangers Offtank?

DPS - damage per second

Sorry for the question but I'm having a hard time with DPS.. what does it mean for you?

Thanks, I didn't know that but should of guessed. I only thought of it the not so good for forums ways. Guess it's too late for acronyms

if you are looking for the highest sustainable DPS, i believe you want a warrior primary. although possibly outdated, you can get an idea of the DPS potential of different classes in this guide:

a ranger's armor is generally not as good as a warrior's armor but tends to do better against elemental damage. i am not exactly sure what you mean by "offtank" though..

You might also want to take a look at the Alpha Roundtable. There are some very instructive discussions on ranger skills. Although I haven't checked to see if any skill changes have occurred since that article, the wealth of knowledge contained in that piece should be more than enough to get you started on your own search for a high dps ranger build.
