Merchants SHOULD have confirmation dialog.

Put items in your storage space. Or as suggested, uncheck a pouch or bag before selling items. Unchecking a single box is easier than clicking "yes" each Time I come across a junk gold or purple item (yes, those exist in abundance).

Yes, software should work around you, not you work around the software, but in this particular situation your own negligence under the given conditions is what is costing you.

Sorry, but in this particular situation I think you are advocating a solution for a nonexistent problem.

I liked the old method where you had to drag things to the seller window.

Actually, what I'd really like would be if the merchants had a mini inventory-type window available where you could load up a bulk sale.

This way people who want to double-click for speed could go ape-s#it in the current sell window, while those who'd like a little more safety could use the bulk drawer..

In the suggestions forum, I suggested adding an "Undo last transaction" button to the merchant window. That way, if you accidentally buy or sell something, you just hit the "undo" button and no harm done. Of course, the undo queue would last only as long as the merchant window is open.

I use chimeric prism as separator between good item and junk it's unsellable (like quest stuff)

If they do implement a confirmation to the merchants I hope they add a toggle switch option. Like in the options menu Merchant confirm off/on. It would get dang annoying IMO to see a confirm popup everytime you sold.

(any typos I apoligize I work nights and I just woke up ............must find coffee)

Like a couple mentioned already, a simple undo button for the last transaction would do wonders and would likely take care of the vast majority of mistake sales.

As for myself, I keep my id/salvage kits in the lower right hand corner of the first bag, i leave the belt pouch and the third bag empty, while keeping my valuables in the last bag. Biggest mistake I've made was selling a fully-charged ID kit.

I'd never play the game again if I had to confirm every 5-30gp pice of crap I sold

Though I started this with the expert salvage kit on the left so it is the first to get "sold", I tried changing it with the basic one but then salvage runes with the basic kit DOH! 400g compared to 100g for repurchase sucks to.

Having a confirmation on gold / purple / runes / customized would be nice. Nothing like swapping weapons out and then selling your secondary weapon (That kick ass no req bow) to the vendor.

I do pretty much the same thing. I will use my Id kits/salvage kits to seperate stuff I keep and stuff I sell. Or I just put all the good stuff in the 2nd bag and always uncheck everything except the first bag in the merchant window. And if items tend to over flow past the first bag. I will ID and sell everything in the first bag. And then move the junk items that overflowed to my other bags back to the first bag. ID them in my inventory window and sell'em. I had to figure out something after I sold a superior Vigor to the vendor awhile back. lol

So I think alittle message/warning window might be a good idea for rares/runes.

I don't mean to bring an old post out of the grave, but what about a Buy Back Feature?

Just organize your inventory. Put everything you want to keep in the back, ones you want to sell in the front, and things that are impossible to delete inbetween.

I do feel for you, but we have given some good advice, take it.

I'l use my necro set up she has a combination of wands, of hands and staffs.

1. Deah wand-grim cesta
2. Cursed wand-icon
3. Cursed wand-55 icon
4. Blood staff-20 symbol

why do I have a symbol with my staff, the symbol doesn't do any good in combat, but the weapons and off hands are stored in my last bag, which is unchecked. So as I change between weapon sets, each weapon and each off hand is repalced by one in the last bag, so all my weapons and all my off hands are either in the bag or carried, none ever appear in the pack wich is where I sell from, hence I never accidentally sell the item that uber weapon.

Another way is to put some that can not be sold, like gwens cape,

keep, keep, keep, keep, keep
keep, cape, sell, sell, sell

so when you hit a lag spike the sell will stop at the cape, you can't sell past the cape with out using you mouse to skip it.

The bag uncheck is the safest way, I have only once sold something I didn't want, and that was because I checked the bag.

i found a simple solution to this, i keep a quest item (unsellable) in my bag, this acts as a wall between sell and keep

Wintersday items can't be sold either, fwiw. I usually use a gingerbread focus as a block item.

Confirmation dialog would be just another annoyance. Perhaps a better solution would be toggleable item status switch where you can give quest item status for wanted items so they can't be sold or even drop.

In Arizona, Cox is waaaayyy better than the alternative (Qwest)! I love my 9mb down and 1mb up connection.

I have never had any issues (except for billing with my phone service) with Cox.
