ship date for full release

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but can't find a forum that seems more appropriate

I ordered my full version of the game from bestbuy.com. They informed me that it would ship between April 28-May 4!!! What gives with this? My pre-order key will last until the evening of April 28th according to information I have read. This means I won't be able to play that first full weekend after midnight on the 28th and before my delivery arrives?? Why aren't they shipping earlier so that I can be ready to fully log in on the 28th?

hopefully theyre just covering their asses by saying that, just incase theyre late getting them out. I personally ordered from EB, but i sure hope you get yours in

It will be in stores on the 28th as spooky has in sticky above. Many people having problems with Best Buy.. do a thread search you may have a common issue.


EDIT : if they wish to honor their agreement with the game company they will put it out for sale as specified...28th

I don't know if that Is true... the activation date should be April 28 (assuming everything goes acording to plan), but it may be on the store shelves as early as the 26th. The game should be avalable to buy before it's activated, right? RIGHT?! Please oh please let me be right

sorry it hits shelves on the 28th, not the 26th, preorderr players can play on the 27th starting at midnight pst

I understand what your saying, but I beleive thay will only let pre-existing accounts/char. names in for the extra day. That does not mean you can't buy the game before it it activated.

Hehe.. I see what you mean...only problem is..its a binding contractual agreement for retail. Meaning, it gets shipped before the release date,..yes..but they won't let you pick it up.

In other words...money talks..big money shouts...would you want to endanger your future relations with a business partner just to get an initial edge on your OWN competitors? Not if you're smart.

My EB preorder box specifically says that it will be released on the 27th. So this could be true. Maybe EB will start selling it the 27th, But the game will not be activated till the 28th.

thyat doesnt make any sense, if the game is not "on the shelf" you cannot buy it, the only way to buy it right now is to pre-order and pay the whole thing off at once, so when it releases on the 28th you can just go pick up your copy, and if you preorder you can get in on the last beta which is like 7 days away now, and get in early on the 27th

Don't feel so bad. My EB location was out of preorder discs, so I don't get to attend the BWE. But on the plus side, I am not likely to have to wait to May 4th. The time it takes to ship to you (I believe that is what this entails) could be up to the 4th. Although it can be tough to tell. It depends on a lot of things, and store location and availability are just a few of them.

ok thanks for the (various) inputs, <sigh> I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens. Just hope I don't go through withdrawal if it doesn't get here by the 28th
