Max Damage AND best of all!!! LOW REQUIREMENT!!!!!! 8!!!

+29 health fortitude

I hear bows like this sell for 40k "easy" as i have heard, but would like more feedback.

Its not about the money, I would trade for a godly fire wand or staff GOLD ONLY!!! and gives tremendous health back!!! and energy bonus, fire attribute bonus and faster casting!

^^ FYI^^

Since this is pc only (free bashing time!!!!), I would share with you guys some thoughts.

Bow Refire Rate Range Flight Time
Flatbow 2.0 seconds 100' 1.0 seconds
Longbow 2.5 seconds 100' 0.75 seconds

So at 100 range, longbow has (3.25-3.0)/3 --> 8% lower dmg
At 50 range, longbow has (2.5+0.375-2-0.5)/2.5 --> 12.5% lower dmg.

Of course, you should already pulled out your halfmoon/short bow at 70 range. Anyway, just don't touch longbow.

yeah but here's the thing... if ur using a longbow u prolly won't be getting attacked all too much... so ur HP will be above 50% therefore not getting the Damage Bonus....

if u can successfully salvage that grip... u can sell it for around 30K

The bow is worthless, anyone buying it would be buying to salvage out the grip.

What makes it worthless? 95% of bows i see with that damage requires a 12 in marksmanship, I am sure many people would agree that the points saved and use elsewhere would be a huge welcome. At what point constitutes a useful bow from a useless bow? Must it have some "cool" glow? I understand when the person above mentioned about if health was above 50% (it would be nice) but if being above 50% with a 19% bonus verses below 50% with the same bonus makes a bow useless, then thats insane cause everyone gets below 50%, especially in HoH.

What is insane is the fact that a Superior Vigor sells for 80k and a major for 8k and there is a 10hp diffrence. thats insane

They are saying that since its a LONG range weapon, you wouldn't use it close range. And close ranger is when you're going to be below 50%. I've found MANY max damage bows with lower than 12 req's. And no, I'm not talking about 11 req, I've found down to 8 maybe lower, I don't really keep note of these things. While the below 50% doesn't make the bow useless, it doesn't add any value to the bow and this is basically where all the value should be. Fact is, 10% while > 50% health would be more useful than this 19%. However the health boost is a nice addition and that might be where the bow shines. As does the fire string (possible R/E for conjure flame).

It's no ideal bow type.

Fiery is a fairly useless mod for most rangers

Damage bonus while below 50% doesn't add the the value of the bow.

That leaves the grip.

It's not worthless like you can't sell it worthless. It's worthless like it's not a kick butt bow worthless. Anyone who is going to buy this is going to buy it to try to salvage out the grip.

I agree with mostly what has been said so far. I think any <50% dmg bow is useless, especially with a ranger. If you're under 50%, you are probably already fighting a losing battle, and 19% extra damage in most cases wouldn't change that. You'd most likely be running away, so I really don't like <50% (on top of what MCS and wgregory87 and KuTeBaka said).
