How do I determine a good price for an item?

Hey. I was wondering how I should determine a good price for an item...For example, I'm looking to sell a Half Moon of Defense (+4 defense and max damage) but I'm really afraid of getting myself ripped off. Any help would be nice. Thanks in advance!
